when elders want to meet with an inactive person to encourage them, what does this really mean?
encouragement is a term thrown around by the organisation.
does this encouragement usually consist of prying into the inactive one's lifestyle?.
meaning of term: w95 1/15 21; rs 117; w86 1/15 18
*** w95 1/15 p. 21 Have You Encouraged Anyone Lately? ***What Does Encouragement Involve?Just as a beautiful flower droops when deprived of water, so individuals—both in the family and in the congregation—can wilt from lack of encouragement. On the other hand, timely encouragement can fortify those who face temptation, lift the spirits of the depressed, and invigorate those who are serving God faithfully. The Greek word translated “encouragement” includes the thought of consolation, exhortation, and comfort. Therefore, encouragement is not limited to telling someone he is doing well. It may also involve providing practical assistance and spiritual help.Actually, the Greek word translated “encouragement” literally means “a calling to one’s side.” Walking side by side with our spiritual brothers and sisters enables us to give immediate support if one of them should tire out or stumble. (Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10) Interestingly, Jehovah’s people “serve him shoulder to shoulder.” (Zephaniah 3:9) And the apostle Paul called a certain Christian a “genuine yokefellow.” (Philippians 4:3) Pulling together under the same yoke by serving shoulder to shoulder makes the load lighter, especially for those who are not spiritually strong.—Compare Matthew 11:29.
EncouragementDefinition: Something that gives courage or imparts hope. Everyone needs encouragement. Giving it may require rendering personal help or expressing appreciation. Often it involves assisting someone to see how to cope with a difficult situation or discussing reasons for confidence in a better future. The Bible provides the finest basis for such encouragement, and the texts quoted below can be helpful in giving it to persons faced with various situations. At times much good is done by simply displaying a sympathetic attitude.—Rom. 12:15.

*** w86 1/15 p. 18 Regaining Power, Not Tiring Out ***Interestingly, the word for encouragement at Philippians 2:1 and Hebrews 6:18 comes from a Greek verb meaning “to exercise a gentle influence by words” or “to speak to someone, in a positive, benevolent way.”

It is the facebook page from this website: http://www.ministryideaz.com/Default.asp
They sell JW-stuff.
If that FB page isn't JW-pro, the JWs would not buy the stuff from this dealer.
Or I am wrong.

The hook that keeps these suckers plopping right back into the muck that masquerades as "spiritual food in due season" is the question which reveals their arrested devrlopment:
"Where else shall we go?".
Wrong question. This question is told by WT, but the bible shows us:
(John 6:68, 69) 6Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, whom shall we go away to? You have sayings of everlasting life. 69 We have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
just come here to vent a bit.
last night we had one of those meeting where i had a hard time keeping my eyes from rolling.
i tell you, sometimes i think they have a mind of their own, my eyes that is.
i saw this at the kingdom hall after the meeting.

Wait some month. This year the society will provide little business cards for the publishers. Maybe they will announce them on the international DC.
The business cards are now printed and on the way to the branches. They will be provided to the publishers -10 or 20 pieces per publisher (the cards were not printed in the branches).
On the front is a picture, the text "Jehovahs witnesses" and the jworg logo.
Backside contains Luke 11:28 and also the invitation for jworg and the QR-Code.
does anyone know if the name "jehovah" appears 237 times in their revised nt as in previous versions?.
secondly, is there any evidence from wt literature that jws will take an active part in destroying the wicked at armageddon.

january 1 1989 contains the quote on page 12 "he was laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century.
" this was later changed in the bound volume and on the cd library to "in our day.".
hi all, i haven't posted here in a while, felt like a break and have been insanely busy, i don't think too much about jw stuff now, but wanted to pop in anyway.
have i missed anything recently?.
i am very happy, much to my surprise, i think it would be nice to go back to the end of 2013 and tell the depressed and lonely version of me that he can't even comprehend how good life could be.
