Why do you think they changed Ester and Christ death from?
by Crazyguy ini believe the early christians going back as far as constantine changed the ritual of a savior coming and the resurrection of the messiah from the spring equinox to the following full moon.
or should i say the full moon after the spring equinox.

Known gospels were written decades after the supposed Jesus Death.
Then it was Edited, updated, modified and finally compiled by the Roman Catholic Church, centuries later.
No wonder the dates and time frames in the Bible are a mumbo jumbo confusion.

When You See A JW Approaching What Are Your Thoughts?
by minimus ini used to get a weird feeling in my stomach when i would see a witness approaching.... almost a sense of dread.
now, i really don’t care.
i have even made it a point to do the approaching when i see a witness trying to convert an ignorant person..

I would smile at them first , giving them the impression that I may be a potential convert.
Then would engage them with questions, starting with the Blood Issues and UN connection....
Perhaps something I say, may plant a seed of doubt in them which may someday bloom as TTATT

How do you deal with people who do not like you?
by usualusername1 inhi guysin the last year i have started to socialise a lot more.
namely comedy and a tennis social club.. for a variety of reasons i find socialising tough.
in my tennis club a couple of women have been extremely rude to me and i have blocked one from my phone and refuse to speak to both.. is my behaviour extreme?paul.

That was really true in my case. When I quit JW, I tried hard to explain the TTATT to my JW friends. They never beleived anything I said, except labeling me as apostate and Evil.
I never had anything to explain to my old Non JW friends as to Why I quit.

Just ignore them.
If it happens to bump into them, be polite and send them the message that their hating does not affect your life and there is a whole lot of people who love and care for you.

Are there any instances of "GOD" order and/or condoning the rape of women in the bible?
by Black Man inthis came up recently with my dyed-in-the-wool jw pioneer mother, who swears up and down that there are no scriptural instances of this happening.
i seem to remember a couple passages, but can't remember where they were..

The earthly resurrection pipe dream
by Sour Grapes ini woke up this morning thinking about when my mom died about 10 years ago.
she was an avid jdub and was confident that she would be resurrected to an earthly paradise petting zoo.
if i would today go to my mom's house and because god brought her back to life, saw her sitting in her favorite chair, would she really be my mom?
