  Strip off the old personality

  yesterday’s watchtower talked about how by becoming a jw it enabled “worldly” people to ‘strip off the old personality’ and make really significantly good changes in their life.. paragraph named 4 individuals (anonymous names of course and probably embellished tales)) sakura, ribeiro, stephen, and hans.

  their lives changed for the good because they found god or because they became jw’s---right?.

  so on the way home from this wt meeting, my wife commented to me how wonderful our brotherhood is and how it helps people who would otherwise be ‘lost’ n this world.

  I know a few people who became fervent Christians (Not JW) after living a nasty life. Some profess that Jesus advised them to repent and come clean. It's in all the religions, especially Christendom.

  is armageddon starting ?

  i believe that many witnesses are tired out or at least tiring out.

  i know....... because i am tired out!.

  imagine going to college for 20 years not knowing when college is finished.

  When I was in, I was literally tired and irritated to look up John17:3 from the Bible, every time, when referenced from the podium

  In my experience that was the most repetitive verse I had heard in that religion . Everyone knows by heart what that verse is and I would wonder why the heck we need to open the Bible and see it over and over and over...and over . If we don't look it up from the Bible, we are looked upon by suspicion . Oh holy heaven!!!

  The Change

  the change has begun.

  my jw friends that came to my house months ago finally have figured out i am in no way going to become a jw (how it took them that long i have no idea).

  now the change to them wanting to have nothing to do with me has begun.

  Even if you had been a JW for decades and been disfellowshipped or disassociated yourself, you would be treated as you never Existed at all. Its a CULT, no wonder.

  I have read many funny topics about Russell being a free mason or being instrumental in the skull and bones. Today you can pick your flavor of "conspiracy theories". Don't believe everything you read. Do the research yourself. This also includes what I type. Look into it yourself

  I had these nagging questions, while still a devout JW.

  Why is it that so many good people out there not accepting the teachings of JWs.

  1. Will every non JW good soul be destroyed at Armageddon. My mother in law is a good protestant christian but never accepted the Watchtower teachings at all. I could not accept that she would be killed in Armageddon.
  2. Noah's flood. How can so many fit into the ark ? The flood waters covered the highest mountains - Mt Everest. That means Noah's cruise club inside the ark should have had Oxygen masks to breathe at such an Altitude.

  And then came the 607 BC investigation which started off everything, followed by the blood fractions, Organ transplants, vaccinations, Beth Sarim, Generations... truck load of Failed prophecies, self righteousness of the GB... UNO Secret tie and plastering when caught, Finally the truth has set me free.

  In memory of a lost doctrine - the vindication of Jehovah's name

  i start this thread in response to a comment by a jw apologist called simonsays on another thread.

  he claimed to have read all three volumes of vindication by rutherford (my sympathy if true).

  he further implied that it didn't matter that old jw literature said wrong and stupid things, saying:.

  Jehovah wants his name to be Vindicated but cant even preserve his (Exact) name in his own holy book, for 1875 years ???!!!

  Moreover Vindicate means "clear (someone) of blame or suspicion". How can the Almighty, all powerful, all wise, all loving be blamed ? If Satan blamed the almighty, doesn't everyone know that Satan is the father of lies. With such a scenario why does anyone want to take Satan Seriously and why does Jah needs to Vindicate his name ?

  Everlasting life on a stick

  i think the watchtower is the only organization that can promise a product (everlasting life) and never deliver it.. what fools we've been to believe this nonsense..

  All religions promise some sort of Bliss that is not attainable in this world but would make you eligible for that only when you join and serve their religion.

  I admit I too had been a fool to believe this package of nonsense for 11 years but happy that finally realized for what it is.

  i was withh a friend of mine who is a jw still and for whatever reason we started talking the bible.

  i asked him about lazarus and how is that when he died he paid the price of sin, but then jesus resurrected him.

  and i asked him "where is lazarus today?

  Yeah, got your point. Even travelling at the speed of light it would have been several weeks/months/years to get the ransom and benefits approved from Heaven - to and fro - and hence all the resurrected died due to this delay

  The resurrected saints as per Matthew 27:51-53 were post ransom beneficiaries and all should be alive today.Pr JWs cannot dodge them as pre - ransom
