If she doesn't comply an orange jumpsuit is in her future

Fisherman, you are trolling. The law is very clear why she ended in jail. She went there for contempt of court. At that point it was irrelevant that she refused to issue license to four couples from which two were gay/lesbian. She was ordered by federal judge to do so, and she refused. She willingly disobeyed federal judge. There is little else explaining to do. -

Viviene, there is definitely some deficiency inside fisherman's cranium. The issue is very clear, she is in jail for contempt of court, and disobeying its order at her will. Why she is in contempt is at this point irrelevant. The law is clear, and she find the consequence of her actions at the present of the federal judge. -

She is breaking the law, by refusing to issue license to two people after court told her to do so. The law she is breaking is a contempt of court. People go to jail for that as Mrs. Kim Davis had find out.
Again, rest is red herring.
You side tracking, because you lack reasoning skills due your own homophobic biases. First red herring were illegal aliens. Second red herring is "She has not been charged with violating that oath and she has not been found guilty of that." Because we do not talk about her oath as elected official; but Davis is disobeying court order which is criminal. Court did not sent her in jail because of her oath, nor the court has not make her guilty of anything else.

What laws are gay people breaking? Anti-sodomy laws were overturned decade ago. States like Maine gave SSM based on popular vote. District courts stroke anti-discrimination laws over these years for some time. DOMA was declared unconstitutional two years ago. SCOTUS did not create any laws when it comes to gay marriage. It only declared that banning gay marriage in 14 states in USA was not constitutional.
On the other hand, Davis is elected official and it is her duty to uphold constitution of the country and the state. If she cannot do that, she needs to resign and her stance is what is it, criminal by contempt of court. She is in jail where she belong. Nobody is taking her religious conviction away, but her religious beliefs cannot interfere with the duties of elected officials.
everything else you had said is just red herring.

Islamic terrorists are operating in Europe for at least decade. They predate Arab Spring and been active while European press is refusing to even talk about it. When Madrid train attack happened, Spanish government attempted to blame Basque terror group even when it was known that it was Islamic terror attack. France does not have enough resources to deal with them; while European masses are brainwashed by left-wing media, that everything is ok. Anyone who disagree with them is labeled as xenophobe, racist, nationalists, etc. Entire Eastern block is demonized by German, French, and Austrian press, just because these countries want to choose who will can be admitted according local laws and Dublin II treaty.
Last week several NATO generals from Eastern block said it clearly that there is coordinated push of refugees from powerhouses to destabilize European Union. Only 36% of immigrants rioting in Hungary were true Syrians. I will see it that Schengen will collapse by winter or spring. Germany does not have enough prestige, money, and power to bully rest of Europe to submission. The big showdown I will see will happen will be with Poland as it is the least committed country on continent to accept any refugee quotas. Poland made it clear that it will not get barked by Merkel and any interference into its internal affairs from German side would mean a war. With the collapse of "free movement" in EU (Romanians, Croats, and Bulgarians are out of lack, Germany does not allow them to work in Germany), the EU project will be finished. There are two countries that would benefit from the collapse of EU, Russia and USA...

A poll of sorts: How long have you been a "fader" for?
by SecretSlaveClass ini'm curious about the following:.
1) how long have you been a fader for?.
2) how often do you still get pressure from congregation members and/or family to return as an active witness?.

I faded 21, almost 22 years ago. My family pressured me for first two years, I was very firm that JW religion is BS and they kinda stopped pushing the faith on me. My siblings did not talk to me for over decade, and my mom for about 3 years. Since I moved thousands of miles away, I do not meet anyone in my old KH. I am not interested to meet anyone and I do not care to meet anyone. I do not feel that WT has whatsoever power over my life, nor I consider them as authority for anything. Life goes on. I moved, have successful marriage and career, and past cannot be taken or erased. However, my future is what I am making of it, and WT does not have anything to do with it. I wish my family would break the bond with WT, but it is hard when my mom, my siblings are in the cult, and now my niece is studying to become one. I have bunch of cousins in WT, two of them are elders, uncle, aunt, so there is not escape for my mom from the indoctrination. -

Revelation 8:8 Is a comet / asteroid heading here soon?
by FuzzyPaul ini have read a lot and watched some you-tube videos (some by marginally lunatic fringe christians - not necessarily invalidating) searching for asteroid september 2015 or comet september 2015.. there is some biblical evidence that, if one doesn't spiritualize / make literally invalid by symbolic exercise, that at the time of the end of the age there will be a uniquely severe, single great earthquake (isaiah 29:6, zecharia 4:7, haggia 2:6, revelation 6:12, revelation 16:18) and destructive objects described as hail, mountains falling from the sky, stars falling onto earth.
i note that ancients would not recognize the vastness of outer space and meteroids, asteroids, comets, planets being what we know them as.. there is also the exact symbol of "then the second angel blew his trumpet, and a great mountain of fire was thrown into the sea.
one-third of the water in the sea became blood, one-third of all things living in the sea died, and one-third of all the ships on the sea were destroyed.

Over the 4.5 billions years, Earth was bombarded by millions of object, and large of them hitting Earth whipped out significant portion of population. Yucatan was hit by large asteroid 65 millions years ago which is known Cretaceous–Tertiary (K–T) extinction. Canada (Manicouagan crater), Ukraine (Obolon crater), or Chesapeake crater are reminder of many others that hit this planet over time. Chesapeake crater probably whipped out ozone layer for 10,000 years after its impact 35 million years ago. Impacts will happen in the future, and will have an effect on the future of the life on this planet. -

I am not sure what is the solution for ME conflict, but one resolution would be independent Kurdistant. This would create a stable country that could be ally to the West if the West would armed it and recognize it internationally. Turkey today is not the same country that was in 1952 when it joined NATO. It is a country that became more islamized and radicalized, and many media actually believe it is the main problem maker in wider region and peace in ME. Sooner the West realize it, the better approach it could use.
The next step would be abandoning artificial boundaries created by colonial powers and let population in IQ, Syria decide which statehood they want to belong. It would probably mean division of Iraq and Syria. I do not see how Russian involvement would improve anything. Russia is worried because thousands of its citizens joined ISIS. Russia has large Muslim population (Tatarstan, Dagestan, Chechnya, Kalmyk, ...), and own Islamic insurgency in Caucasus. While fighting cannot be stopped at present time, it is possible the long war will totally exhaust ISIS. The biggest mistake would be getting Israel involved and spread the war father around ME like into Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

I said it last week in this thread that she will end up in jail. She is breaking the law by disobeying court, and she will stay there for some time. It is her choice. She could resign her 80K job that she got through nepotism of her mother, but she decided to play a fake Christian hero instead an elected official that must uphold county, state, and federal law. She cannot decide on her own, who will get marriage license and who not based on her religious conviction. -

Largest amount of refugees since WW2 in Europe
by Powermetal4ever inso i had a discussion with my mother about this, and she claims that because of this that: "we are surely living in the last days right now" while i must admit myself that the situation seem chaotic, i don't want to believe that it is the last days.
so question is, how do i face an opinion like that?

Joke from Czech media:
First school day in Bavarian class:
"Mustafa El Ekh Zeri."
"Hier."
"Mohammed End Ahrha."
"Hier."
"Mi Cha Elma Yer."
Quiet
"Mi Cha Elma Yer."
Nobody is answering
"One more time – Mi Cha Elma Yer!"
At the last desk in the back a small blond boy rises his hand
"It could be me, but you need to read it as Michael Mayer."
