The Witness beliefs remind me of the Nazis and ISIS
by NAVYTOWN inthe nazi regime hated jews, gays, jws and other minorities.
so they solved the 'problem' by exterminating them.
the current isis group hates jews and christians and beheads those it considers 'enemies' and 'infidels'.

A SPECIAL OCCASION.....
by NAVYTOWN ini came across a saying that i especially like: 'don't ever save anything for a special occasion.
every day you are alive is a special occasion.
compare that to the jw mindset that says this world is a terrible place and that jws will only be truly happy 'someday' when they get to 'paradise'.

MY CONCLUSION IS: 'GOD' DOESN'T EXIST
by NAVYTOWN ini have come to the conclusion that there is no god.
period!!!
if there was a loving, righteous, all-knowing, all powerful god up there somewhere, where is he and what good is he???

An Elder said: 'They're in prison for a reason'
by NAVYTOWN inseveral years ago, i was studying the bible (jw literature) with an ms from the local congregation.
i happened to mention that i had several pen pals who were incarcerated in various prisons.
no matter what crimes they committed, i said i saw them as fellow human being who deserved to have a friend to write to.

ANOTHER CHURCH THAT EVOLVED INTO A CULT
by NAVYTOWN inthere are various stories in the news today about the head pastor, mark driscoll, of the mars hill megachurch in seattle resigning after much extended controversy.
from what i read, his church was in many ways similar to the jws.
shunning.

JW.ORG REPORTS THE WATCHTOWER RESPONSE TO EBOLA
by NAVYTOWN ini just checked the jw.org website and noticed an article about the jw response to ebola.
as i suspected, the entire focus was on alerting and educating jw members about ebola.just like in other disaster situations, the jw organization almost exclusively assists it's own members, ignoring the general public.
it seems their main concern is keeping their members healthy so they can continue to spread the jw message door to door!!!

Common feature of religions: explaining life after death
by NAVYTOWN ini am certainly no expert when it comes to the various religions that exist, but i notice most of them have a common feature.
they almost all try to in some way 'explain' death or else state that death is not really the end.
the bottom line is that in actuality nobody has any definite factual proof that we can live beyond the moment of our physical death.

Where is the REAL proof that anyone has EVER experienced 'life' after death??
by NAVYTOWN inthere are countless religions, and have been since prehistoric times.
most of these religions have included a version of an 'afterlife', of some wonderful place where humans reside after death.
the bible claims that jesus was 'resurrected' after his death and then 'went to heaven'.

A QUESTION I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANSWERED BY JWs
by NAVYTOWN inthe jws make such a big deal about not taking (eating) blood in any form.
that being the case, shouldn't they avoid eating steaks?
even a well- done steak still contains the animals blood.
