by XBEHERE ina friend of mine recently had his co visit and in the elders meeting the co out-right asked the question: how are the friends doing in your cong.
as regards pursuing higher education?
the co continued...you know in view of all the counsel from the slave regarding the dangers.

The society is going to kill itself with these policies of no higher education.
They have really come up with some bat-shit crazy ideas lately. The over-lapping generation, 8 GB member are the F&DS, denouncing their founder Charles Russell, and here it is almost 2014 and the Watchtower is still anti-higher education.
This cult has become so ridiculous that I wonder sometimes if all these new ideas from the crazy 8 is some kind of end game stragety their Legal Dept has devised in order to run off all the membership, then split the money up between the higher ups. Something like a corrupt religious Enron corporation.

BRAVO....I applaud your taking a stance against the insane theology of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. What kind of an organization can use Matt 24:14 as proof they are the true religion & bible beliefs, preach "this generation" will not pass away before the end, then when time ran out on them completely change the message & belief to Jesus "evidently meant an over-lapping generation" after they preached around the world that Jesus claimed it was the "1914 generation". Do they now have to start over? And don't forget about the 1995 generation change. It is so obvious now that the JW religion is a man-made cult.

Cost of new Kingdom Halls?
by Blttex ini have been told that the cost to build a new kingdom hall is $500k +.
i have a background in commercial construction and this seems pretty high to me, considering all the free labor.
that is just the cost of the building, excluding the lot price.

How hard is it to get an elder removed?

they practically have to cheat on their wife or something before anything can be done.
the "brother" can act like a total dick, show favortism towards others (especially includes appointed certain brother they like as elder and ones they don't like they ignore them no matter how well they qualify), selectively enforce rules on certain ones and ignore them when their buddies are involved.

Very hard to get an elder removed if he hasn't done anything clear cut to be removed.
More likely for an elder to be removed because he has done something to sour the majority of other elders on him. If he ticks the vast majority of the elder body off, you can bet the CO is hearing "their version" of it in private. His family & everything he says & does will be picked on until either he cracks and resigns, or those wanting him out find something to convince the CO to delete him with.
