  A minimum of a Master's Degree in Theology to acquire coverage? LOL! The WTBTS would have zero elders if that were required to qualify for eldership.

  The vast majority of them are qualified for very little except giving form talks and asking scripted questions. Shoot, most of them can remember the names of the people in their own service group. I could go on and on.

  it was ridiculous - no matter what i did, there was always more to do.

  by your tone, you sound as though you wish to have the WT version of a successful life. If you had been assisted in reaching those goals, the end result would have been in the end disillusionment. Consider it the greatest favor the WT ever did for you. You are free to have a better life, enjoy it.

  If you are thinking about "Stepping Down" you better do it QUICK!

  the new arrangement for co's to handle deletions (and appointments) means you no longer will be able to give your friends on the body an excuse and step down.

  you will have to answer to the co and most likely have a long uncomfortable chat about everything with him in order to step down.

  so if you have been thinking about stepping down, you need to do it quick before the new arrangement..

  @sparrowdow: correction, they don't have time to get to know poor, lowly nobody publishers, but they quickly learn the names of really "spiritual" brothers that can offer comfortable accommodations, gourmet meals, and Men's Warehouse gift certificates during their visits. I am certain that brothers of this caliber shant go unnoticed for, ahem, speedy appointments.

  Who are the members of the Board of Directors of the WTBTS, are they baptized JWs, and what is their backgrounds? Does she forsee at time when the Board's directives conflict with the wishes of the GB and could the GB be "fired" and sent packing since they have no real legal authority?

  blood could become much less scarce if a british research group succeeds in bringing a version made from stem cells to human trials, and eventually to market.

  @Island Man-the Oracle of Bethel has stated previously that artificial insemination is not acceptable because of

  a verse in Leviticus about "not giv(ing) your...semen to the wife of your fellow man...

  And since the "artifical" blood was derived from stem cells (living), they will say that the "life" was transferred to

  the blood and therefore off limits. The ORACLE HAS SPOKEN!
