Gloria Steinem---the work she did to push forward women's rights and feminism is incredible.
maybe i'm in need of some enlightenment here.
through the means of educational tv (such as the simpsons), i have always thought that a sufferer from tourettes syndrome cussed and swore for most of his waking life.. however, just a few moments ago, i encountered this in thursdays the times:.
manchester united expect to complete the acquisition of tim howard, the american goalkeeper who suffers from tourettes syndrome, within a fortnight.
My nephew has Tourettes. He doesn't swear, or have any verbal tics, aside from a few sounds. His tics are mostly jerking, and touching others. He is only 12, but next year he is going to be in middle school. I'm afraid the touching tic is going to get him in serious trouble. He takes medication for it, but it doesn't completely take the tics away, only controls them a little more.

i promise that i am not turning into the next minimus with all the damn questions but this is something i have been thinking quite a bit about lately.. as i grew up in the troof... i almost despised it.
what it "stood for".
and the fact that people would "worship" it.
This is my flag!

i have always loved perfumes and oils and i have quite a collection that i use as the mood strikes...but i am getting low on many of them and it is time to think about making that birthday gift list sooooooo... what do you wear and what do you like and why?.
my all-time innocent favorite is muguet des bois(lily of the valley)--reminds me of my youth and a cousin who gave it to me as a gift who is passed now.... but i also love the scent of lilac, usually in an oil.. my favorite perfumes are: obsession, rare rubies(avon), coty wild musk, revlon's fire and ice, white shoulders, sand and sable, ck's truth, (and also mesmerize, odyssey, foxfire, jasmine, raining violets, honeysuckle, lemon velvet, hawaiian white ginger--all old classic avon you can only find at flea markets or once a year in the book.).
but i need something new....i like the oriental/spicy blends, but not for all the time.
I wear Clinique Happy, and I also love Cool Water by Davidoff, Tommy Girl, and Victoria's Secret Pear Glace.
On men, I think Escape smells incredible.
