Of course, how else could Bush 've matched those guys; they believe in such stuff; it should give Abu Mazen added ammunition when he faces the Hama bad guys; they'll be pissing in their pants when they think the two times God has spoken to this guy, something bad has happened to the guys on the other side. The thought of an American president having a chat with God is frightening enough. These Bushies, there's nothing they can't invent.

There are good samples of guys who never did want any 'responsibilities': I know someone who did refuse to be appointed; he had an average of 30 hrs/month. Got responsibilities after being in for 8 months; gave wonderful talks (his first talk as an Unbaptized Publisher was simply too good...), did several other things, but refused to be appointed an MS; twice. And no, he knew no apostates then. I should ask him why now.

The End, Right Soon Now, Just at the Corner.
Something must be up at the Tower. They use this tactic as a distraction.

i have always tried to remember that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Another Question for Those Against Capital Punishment
by StinkyPantz inwhich is worse?
a convicted murderer getting executed or a convicted murderer being released after serving the minimum of a life sentence, 15 years?.
btw, before anyone even mentions the low recidivism rate of murderers, you must realize that that is only for those that have been caught.

It's surprising that you have sidestepped direct questions asked you, Abaddon. It seems to me you quietly admit that conceeding that the death penalty may be applicable in cases of crimes that are considered extaordinary (like some of the cases presented in this thread) will weaken your case. Perhaps you should draw a line between the death penalty being applicable for certain crimes (and/or strings of crimes commited by the same person), and the the way the State enforces that. And perhaps, that line os thin some.

I think it'll be interesting what I do. For those who are/were still technically in while they read these books, did you hide your copy?

Soooo... Who WAS Cain Afraid Of?
by AGuest inmay you all have peace... .
.... and the answer can be found at genesis 6:1-4. cain was afraid of being killed... and the only killers... or "fellers"... of men... at that time... were the nephilim... "avengers of blood"... who were in the earth at that time.
these, by reason of being spirit beings were "like god, knowing good (life) and bad (death), for vengeance was their vocation.. these... were posted outside eden... stationed in the land of fugitiveness... or "nod.

Do You Try To Get Along With Other Members Of This Board?
by minimus insadly, at times, we lose good posters because we have an acrimonious spirit.
i wonder whether we might actually debate or argue, simply for the thrill of trying to outdo the other person(s).
in the spirit of rodney, "can't we just get along?

It's good to get along. But it's nonsense getting along just for the sake of it; it's nonsese trying to get along. Truth matters, kindness does too, but it's not necessary to be kind with the truth. Now,minimus, why did you start a crappy thread like this one?
