  Getting over the "Imperfect Org" defe...

  hey guys,.

  i was wondering if you have a response when you present stuff about pedo, un, rutherford, etc, and a jw says, "well they are imperfect people.. the last respons i got was, only jesus was ever the perfect channel of god - which of course i agree.. but it's like if you ever bring up anything about anything, the stock response is, "we'll it's an imperfect organization.... your response???.

  There are heaps of issues you can challenge the elders with but best is to keep it simple, especially if your knowledge of the troof isn't deep.

  Tell them that you do not consider the Governing Body, (GB) or those that call themselves the Faithful and Discreet Slave (FDS) to be the channel between you and Jesus, that you believe that JESUS alone is our direct path and mediator to God and God doesn't need another mediator Jesus proved Himself TRUE the GB have NOT.

  Point to all the False prophecies and the dates leading up to 1914, and how they keep insisting Jerusalem was destroyed in 607BCE when all secular authorities have shown it was 586/587BCE.

  Point to the paedophilia rampant in the society and ask them what THEY are personally doing about it, or are they taking direction from the GB only, which are just men and hide behind corporations.

  Talk to them about the racism issues look at the 1934 Year Book Scans_of_1934_YB_pages

  There is literally HEAPS of proof this is not an organisation that has the backing of Jehovah or Jesus, you have to dig a bit in the dirt Jacqueline, but in the end you come up with the Gold.

  Did Jesus Die on a Cross or Stake

  i have been research the topic of how christ died and have read many articles (most interesting of them was at the url http://www.freeminds.org/doctrine/cross.htm) which indicate that he died on a cross, so i contacted the wt and they told me to look at vine's expository dictionary of new testament words, and this is what i found.

  Tommy Boy Hi Welcome,

  First of all if you are a true christian, this issue wouldn't make any possible difference to you, the important thing is that Jesus died as a ransom sacrifice NOT HOW he died.

  As far as the JWs go, I personally believe one fine beautiful morning, Ol Judge Rutherford (I think it was He at the time) woke up from a pretty heavy nights drinking and was so hungover he decided he was going to make up a new papal Bull for the congregations.

  He decided to make up a story, and see how far he could push it, so he thought and he thought and decided The Stake vs The Cross was a goody. So he went with it.

  Soon it was all typed out and ready for print. A Brand New issue of the Watchtower declared that NEW LIGHT had been found that Jesus in fact was not crucified as they had earlier thought NO, that he was in fact Staked! Yep STAKED!

  And this was such important new light that from now on anyone claiming to be a true christian and a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, found still believing Jesus was crucified, would be in serious trouble. After all this came directly from the source Himself and down to the Fatitful Slave!

  Well time went by and people soon started adjusting to this NEW LIGHT! The OL judge went to bed each night mostly sozzled, thinking how funny it was that he managed to convince everyone that Jesus wasn't crucified at all, and thought "Just goes to show how gullible people can be...hehehehe, all indications in history point to Jesus dying on a cross, but I managed to convince these SHEEP otherwise woooohoooo what fun."

  "Now what other Papal Bull can I come up with oooh oooh I know......"

  Soon a new bright light shone above his head, the rest is History!

  been doing some web searching, today and stumbled across this guy prophecies, visions, occurrences, and dreams from jehovah god, jesus christ, and the holy spirit given to raymond aguilera.. some of you may already know about him, don't know, just thought some would find it interesting that in the '90s jehovah, jesus, and the holy spirit decided to annoint a new fds.

  i guess, here we go again folks, the birth of a new cult?

  maybe 100 years from now apostate members of his cult will be starting their own forum?

  My Very First Door

  i had been out in service a few times, but this was going to be the one where i did all the talking.. knock knock knock.

  door opens, i shuffle my feet and say "nice door, did you buy that or did it come with the house?".

  Yes some congreagtions seem to have completely different personalities than others, I have experienced this too, and I once asked my Dad why, it happens to so many people.

  He said to me did you ever take the first step to introduce yourself to people, go up to them take their hand and say hi, Iam so and so?

  Well I did initially, but I did notice it is still very hard for some in the cong. to allow you in too quickly, mistrust I guess, but i have to say i am happier out than I ever was in, cos I too started mistrusting too many...funny how it rubs off.

  good morning to you all, .

  so my only bit of post this morning is a letter from the elders, i've been doing battle with them for a few weeks over arrangements for a judicial committee.

  well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on friday to finalise the matter!
