The GB accepts questions about doctrine!
by DATA-DOG inso i'm watching the interview with g-jack and he says that if a question comes up about doctrine, the gb have a meeting.
so my question is this, who questions anything and how do they submit a question?
he seems to painting some kind of "democracy" picture for the rc.. he also said that the 7 gb members can't possible know everything about doctrine...wtf???

Who we should look to for "accurate" medical information--Where's the article?
by JustMe2 ina number of threads discuss some of the extreme, even bizarre, medical advice that's been given in wtbs publications over the years.
it's ironic, then, that years ago an awake!
or watchtower article warned of the need to be on guard regarding certain extreme forms of alternative medicine.

by TheListener intonight on the abc network (in the usa) they will be doing an in depth interview with leah remini who was a scientologist for 30 years.
i saw a preview and there is a lot of talk about shunning.

"Welcome" message wording on .com site
by JustMe2 init's certainly true that the site is "friendly" and "informative".
i'm concerned about the word "tolerant", however, because some posts can be very blunt and outspoken, and newcomers might not be expecting them to be that way.
perhaps it would be well to add something along the lines of "spirited" or "straightforward" discussion in the welcome message, so newbies won't be surprised and possibly turned off before they see all the site has to offer..

Trouble registering and logging in
by JustMe2 ina friend who had had an account entered her email and was told she wasn't registered under that address.
she then registered for a new account with her current email and entered a user name and password.
she never received a confirmation email though she tried three times.
