Most recently, Troy - bad acting, poor CGI, dreadful costumes/hair, dire sets, gratuitous panning shots and overblown soundtrack.

This is probably very immature of me, but
by Crumpet inlast night my ex boyfriend finally admitted to me that he cheated on me whilst we were going out.
we split up about 7 years ago.
what is irking me most is that i've asked him before if he had and he totally denied it.

Having sex with you while you were passed out is... vile. Ditch the friendship.

It's been a while
Q1. Her role as serpent was about giving Lyra freedom to think, was it not, sharing knowledge.
Q2. Can't remember.
Q3. But Lyra wasn't a witch, and reading how close she and her daemon were, and the effect it had on their relationship seemed like quite a betrayal.

I pay myself to crack a whip over 50 employees.
I volunteer for an architectural conservation society.
And I'm studying for an MSc in Urban & Regional Planning.
Lots of people think I drink coffee and read the paper all day when it's only 80% of the day. The other 20% is spent on the web.

School uniforms don't mean complete uniformity. I wore one and we all did things to make it seem more fashionable. We were lucky that it was black and not some of the more heinous colours that exist.
My school was founded in 1128, beat that Midwich!

To all the other atheists/agnostics out there
by robhic inafter you got from behind the barrier that was keeping you from thinking logically and had removed the blinders that prevented you from processing information using common sense rather than the 2000+ year old superstitions of some nomadic goat-herders, did you start to find that religious-centric or god-related statements made you shake your head in incredulity?.
case in point: just yesterday as i watched the 5:00 news, a story came on about a young man who had moved from here to california.
while in california he died but the family was so poor they could not afford to have the body shipped back to new orleans.

In honesty it makes me uncomfortable too.
People praying for the submariners to be saved... what's that all about when there's countless (unreported) lives in peril. And it seems these submariners were more worthy than those on the Kursk.

I was surprised at how uptight the replies to Terry's post were too. Seems the Tao encourages condescension!
