Yup good idea. Just slowly and gently and pick the right moment. As I side point I'm just wondering how you do it. I was only a publisher who thought he could play both worlds of TTATT/loyal to jw.org. I fully except the employment family issue but man it must do your head in. It did mine. -

I asked where is the proof?
by disillusioned 2 inarguing with my husband again, i asked where is the proof that jesus looked down on earth in 1919 and chose a small group of bible students in america apart from them saying it in their magazines.
also where is the proof that satan and his demons were cast down in 1914 just because first world war started.
neither of these things are in the bible only in their magazines.

Yeah that was one of the things that got me, that I had no idea of. Rutherford was an abusive, womanising, alcoholic, who lived the high life. -

I have wondered if the GB have any say over financial matters at all. I would dear say this would all have to be passed though someone in the financial know. Weather these decisions have been made by someone behind the scene or from them directly is pure speculation. I dear say it would be the GB who would have to rubber stamp it, and them who will bear the ultimate responsibility if things go wrong. -

I wonder if a Nigerian scammer has ever been scammed himself. I guess it's a bit like saying has tmo3 every worn tight pants. But if anybody can find me a verified documented case I'd be interested to read it.
It's interesting as the only other case I know of where a person openly stated he was from Nigeria, it also had to do with money. Dose anyone remember the story of a ex-jw Nigerian who had a friend who had immigrated to England (who was also ex-jw). He was living on the street and needed money to get back on his feet. Because he was DFed wasn't been supported by his family, and couldn't ask for help from jws. Dose anyone remember that one.

I Felt Proud Telling People That Michael Jackson Was Raised a JW
by Tempest in a Teacup ini just remembered this thing this morning:.
sharing the same faith with the king of pop made me feel important for belonging to this religion, even if he was never baptised.
we were not in america or anywhere close by.

I think he was baptized and was also disfellowshipped. He had a break in his career just before the thriller song was released, and i believe that was at that time he was baptized. I believe it was the thriller video that got him DFed due to his dancing with the dead. -

Why I remain one of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Brother Jeramy inallow me to begin with a clarification: when i say i am one of jehovah's witnesses, i don't mean that i am an advocate of the watchtower society or a devotee of some of its more controversial false teachings.
i mean that i am a christian, a disciple of jesus christ dedicated to jehovah god, and who remains in union with my brothers and sisters who make up the family of faith that globally refers to itself as jehovah's witnesses.
some totally understand the distinction between the family of brothers and sisters and the corporate organization known as the watchtower society (wts).

I think you wrote a well written article and also presented a good line of thought. Hey, if it works for you then keep doing it. I can relate to what your saying because I thought the same thing. I firmly believed I could take the best of both worlds of serving Jehovah while also knowing TTATT. Sadly this proved not to be the case. With in 18 months I walked out of the Hall for the last time. Ironically it wasn't the apostasy that first lead me down this path. It was a whole series of things that just piled up over the years. The frustration and stress of dealing with an organisation and people who I didn't like and we're not going to change. If you wanted to experience this for yourself I suggest you mail this article to Brooklyn and see what kind of response you get. Anyway I wish you the best in you journey -

Interesting conversation with this pentecostal today at work. It made me think.
by joe134cd inat work today a colleague was telling me how his church had purchased a van for the sole purpose of caring for their youth.
he was saying every friday / saturday night the church organizes some event for its youth outside it's church services.
they also have other services to that are provided free of charge for its members.

They also have other services to that are provided free of charge for its members. I was telling him about my JW youth and how little the organisation did for it young people other than knocking on doors. True I don't think a young persons motivation for going to church should be just for social activity. But on the other hand what a hugh difference it would make if Wt could create a sense of community for its young people. Although I think primary motivation of the church and it's members is to learn about God. It should also be a place to fellowship and just to have fun and a good time as well. I believe my colleagues church is trying to provide this, and it's something Wt could learn from. -

as long as shunning continues donations will be slow
by poopie inone of the reasons the watchtower is having problems with donations is because they have refuse to let go of wholesale across the board shunning.
the average publisher is sick of it and jehovah is withholding his full blessing.
when you do not show love to fellow humans you run the risk of not being able to show love which i'm turn has a direct relationship to your joy in turn if your not happy your not motivated to donate lots of money to and arrangement you perceive as unloving all you bethel lurkers convey this message to bro letters and rest of gb stop trying to convince fair minded people to support unloving shunning.

There has been considerable debate on here as to weather the move of the U.S head quarters to a more remote area will cause it to become more extreme and isolated from main stream society. From a financial perspective I can't see this happening. The religion desperately needs educated wealthy people, and the more hard core they become the more harder it will be to attract, maintain and retain such ones. -

You would think they would be happy to use what ever medium available. I believe there attitude is slowly changing against the internet.
