  i was looking back and a month ago there was a topic about e-watchman and who he was and why he would expose the wt with one side of his mouth and encourage loyalty with the other side.

  i wonder if these might be the reasons.... 1. he himself claims to be of the anointed and truly believes he is helping to expose the "evil slave" amongst jehovah's people.. 2. by encouraging loyalty to the wt he doesn't scare away the numberous active witnesses who read his columns and send in questions.

  2. By encouraging loyalty to the WT he doesn't scare away the numberous active witnesses who read his columns and send in questions. They read and stay in the congregations. (Although the WT might see that as like mixing clay with iron.)

  3. He really sees the WT as the ones doing the best at "giving proper food at the proper time" which will THEN be appointed and THEN corrected by Jesus and Jehovah.

  I thought the previous posts were a bit overly critical of someone doing so well at offering truths.

  Please don't flame me to a crisp.

  wt literature, how important is it?

  now they have the ability to just upload the current issues on their web site and the individuals could just download then in pdf format and print them out and then underline the answers to all questions asked in red pencil.

  no need to print millions.

  what would be the *real* motive then, if not the library card, for the wtbts to become an ngo?

  is it possible someone got confused or misinformed that they needed to become an ngo to continue with the library?

  i can't for the life of me figure out the motive.

  my wife, who is intent on re-activating herself as a dub since i da'd myself, went to the convention this past weekend.

  she showed me this new publication entitled "learn from the great teacher", and placed great emphasis on these two pages i scanned and am posting.

  it makes a poor show of telling children what to do when confronted by a child abuser.

  My Active JW Mother Told Me They Have Sold Several KHs

  my mother who has been a jw for 38 years told me last night that the society had said they don't have the funds like they used to for the kingdom halls.

  their congregation just sold theirs last month and another in their area just sold (michigan).

  they say they are building double khs instead.

  One is being built in our area. The financing of local halls is 1.) A money maker for the society as they charge interest 2.) Operating expenses are totally handled locally.

  I don't think selling of the halls has anything to do with anything except upgrading halls via quick builds.

  Reversal of disfellowshipping on appeal?

  and then appealed and the decision was reversed?

  heard of that before and was just curious.

  Once when I was serving on a JC I disbanned it as the "investigation" had been shoddy enough so that we really didn't have proof of the offense, drunkeness. So rather than go through with the JC and stamp "repentent" on the process and taint the man - as the chairman - I disbanned it. That PISSED off some on the body pretty good, but I held my ground. They had a meeting with me to say that I should have come to them before disbanding the JC. That might be true, but I didnt' trust them to do the right thing. This is a true story.

  Any theories why sudden growth in WTS?

  lately is observed some small growth in wts troops.

  any idea what is causing it?

  i've heard that an age of baptized new members has dropped and 9/11 makes an impact.

  The 15 time has to be approved by the Service Committee and is reserved for the elderly and infirmed.

  My advise is to fade away and not take a stand. Keep the link with your parents. You are feeling a bit like people do who come into the truth - they need to share. Resist the urge. Tell your doctor you are depressed so he can give you prozac or something. If you parents really push you show them the pills, say you are coping the best you can.

  Don't cut the ties - you'll regret it later.
