Elder Pleads For Money For Local Needs Talk!
by minimus inmy mother was telling me how the elder went up on the platform and said how we can't pass donation plates around, we can't sell cookies or do bake drives, we pretty much can't beg for money.
then he said that at the risk of getting himself in trouble, it needed to be said that they don't know what they're going to do, but they need money and contributions.
my mother said that there are very few donating money and the congregation is in continual debt plus all the wealthier people have stopped going....i thought of metatron and knew he'd be delighted to hear another testimonial.

Unlikely, but what if this happened re:Iraq
by IronGland insaddam is put on trial and he is sentenced to life in prison instead of death.
the iraqis get things under control enough to where in a year or so the americans pull their troops out.
once the americans are gone, the 'provisional government' frees saddam, says 'welcome back mr president' and he takes charge of iraq again.

Simon,
Well, sovereignty may have been handed back on paper but America has made sure that they or their appointees (ie they) can declare any government who is elected as bogus and remove them. INTERESTING CONCEPT, What's the supporting evidence that the US has the ability to declare an elected Iraqi government "bogus"
So, I don't believe that there has yet been a handover of power and responsibility, just accountability. I guess this explains why the Iraqi Prime Minister is offering amnesty to folks that killed American Soldiers...he's such a puppet with no responsibility or power.

Letter to JW-Inlaws
by catlady ini have drafted the following letter to send to my partner?s inlaws & family (with his approval).
this has been an ongoing situation & i am most concerned that his kids are going to hear these lies & this will destroy the pleasant relationship that i have with them.
i'm also getting sick of not defending myself & having to put up with all this endless crap!

Does anyone know how to microwave eggs?
by ball. indoes anyone know how to microwave eggs?.
i tried looking it up on the internet but without luck.
i've been told you can pierce a hole in the shell so they don't explode, but even so, i wouldn't know how long to cook them for.

Ball,
Sorry, to the best of my knowledge it's impossible to hard boil eggs in the microwave. If you want them hot, peel them on Sunday as well, keep them covered in the fridge, and then warm it up in the microwave in the morning, I imagine 45 seconds to 1.5 minutes will do the trick depending on your microwave.

Bachlor Recipes?
by Lostreality inim looking for any cheap, easy to make, good food ideas and recipes out there.. my current meal most of the time is either.
cheese casadia: shred some cheese on a tortilla, add some cut up lunch meat (chicken is best) sprinkle hot sauce and microwave for 45 seconds.
sprinkle more hotsauce (if you like, i love it) and place another tortilla on top of the cheese, meat, and hot sauce.

Instant Water,
Take one package Heinz Instant Water, open and pour into one gallon container. Add one gallon of h2o. makes 1 gallon of water.
for real though...boil some tortellinni noodles, add alfredo sauce and cheese to cooked (dry) noodles. Add Italian bread and a bag of salad to your plate...good hearty meal.

My Weekend
by Yerusalyim ini spent the weekend with my formerly jw neice (from the wife's side of the family) my wife's brother, who lives in central florida, was the whole reason the family became jw's...before that they were happily cultural catholics...anyhow...this is the guy who berated my wife when she left her ex husband because he hit her...and who had the nerve to call germany and "forgive" my wife for marrying me...freakin a$$hole...he's the one who spent my other neices inheritance (he was the trustee).
well, mr jw himself ran off last weekend with another woman...left his wife and home for some (apparently) quite ugly gal...what a jerk off pretentious a--hole.
he's also a child molestor.. .

Should Saddam Be Executed If Found Guilty?
by Englishman inthere is only so far you can go in inflicting just punishment upon an evil person.
yet how evil is someone who has murdered one person in cold blood, compared to someone who is guilty of genocide?
the crime of murder is heinous in itself, but does the fact that someone may be responsible for millions of deaths make the crime of multiple murder a million times worse than the person who kills only once?

To have a proper justice system it needs to begine with the presumtion of innocence. You cannot just declare someone guilty and execute them.
That may pass as justice for some but it doesn't cut it for most civilised people.
Simon,
The premise of the thread, as stated in the subject, is based on the assumption that Saddam is found guilty. Lighten up.
