I will find one in my door every other year, and this is the year I won't be getting one. None of the JWs in my area know who I am or who I was, and I prefer to keep it that way.

It's been 18 years for me. I even refused to go to two different funerals because that was where they were held. The last time my husband tried to push it, and I went into full panic mode, which is something I never ever do. When I made the decision to leave, that was it for me. I'm one of those individuals who won't stick around if they don't believe in something or is lied to, no matter the cost.

Do You Think The Obama Administration Should Be Investigated For How They Treated The Trump Accusations?
by minimus ini hope that the trump administration looks into obama , clinton and all the other players for trying to usurp the legitimacy of the trump presidency..

@stillin I'm not saying one way or the other, but if Russia wanted Trump in, it would because they didn't want Hillary in. Hillary is nothing but BAD NEWS, there are quite a few folks in Arkansas (where she originally came from) that absolutely detest that witch, myself included.

Two lies all Jehovah’s Witnesses are told
by Farmer Jim1 inlie 1).
when you leave the jws you will be unhappy and will have a hole inside you that only the ‘truth’ will fill.
only when you return to the jws will you feel complete again.. utter nonsense!

WillYouDFme - I'm not talking about those who got married at a young age, or just because they wanted to have sex and not get in trouble with the Watchtower, I'm talking about those who really love each other when they got married. When I was still in the organization, I knew plenty of active JWs who were unhappy in their marriages, but if you didn't know them personally you would have never guessed it while at the meetings. Many of those unhappy marriages did end in divorce, while they were still a JW. It didn't even matter what their position was in the organization; circuit overseer, elder, ministerial servant, regular pioneer, or just a publisher, I knew different witnesses in all those positions who all divorced for various reasons, and I know the reasons for those divorces, and it all narrowed down to unhappiness.

How about this lie. If you leave Jehovah's Organization, your marriage will fall apart. Had several tell me that whopper. I got news for them, after hubby and I left, our marriage actually got better. This coming September will be our 26th.

I have witnessed a few individuals who passed away, and the extreme pain they were in, but the one that sticks out the most in my memory was my friend's father. His cancer had totally wrecked him to the point to get relieved that he actually had both his legs and arms amputated. First, it was his legs, and then a short time later it was his arms. Neither of those did any good in relieving his pain. He suffered greatly for a couple of months after that till he finally passed away. No matter how much drugs they put in him, it did nothing to bring him relief. He wanted to die, but his family would not hear of it, they wanted to keep him alive and with them as long as they could. So yes, I feel that it should be up to the person when they would want to die.

How many faithful old JW`s are now living in Christendoms retirement homes not being cared for by the religion they gave their life for.
by smiddy3 init must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.
many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?
they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.

My in-laws (hubby's parents) bought their home in 1992, it was already an older home. They did nothing as far setting up something for a home warranty, or save for any future repair cost. In 2002, her father died and did leave her some inheritance, but they didn't set any of that money aside for this. They were absolutely sure that their new system would be here before now. As it is, their well has dried up, and their roof needs to be replaced, and they are totally broke. I might be a bad person for saying this, but I don't feel sorry for them.

They said Facebook is supposed to send out an e-mail to inform people of this, but I have not heard a word from Facebook. I just wanted to pass this message to everyone here.

JWs - Followers of Men - 100% Proof
by BourneIdentity infor those that are convinced they are not following man, but jehovah, this example is 100% proof they follow men.
if they twist this to say they don't follow man, well, there is no hope for them.. the bible is very clear to honor your father and mother, it was and is so important, it's listed as one of the 10 commandments.
when that parent leaves the truth, either due to disassociation or being disfellowshipped, the child shuns them for life.

Is it OK to teach your children that Homosexuality is wrong?
by Thomasdam ini know a few family's who have left the cult but send their kids to a religious school because of the public schools teaching many times that homosexuality is ok. the bible is clear that its a sin.
there is no just love each other and its all ok. i don't believe in the bible or any religion.

This subject came up with both of my boys while they were still in high school. My eldest had a friend who, when she came out to her parents about this, they were extremely hateful to her, and called her a few choice words. My son witnessed this awful thing happen to his friend, so he was wondering how his father and I would handle the same situation and asked us about it. At first, he didn't tell us this but asked us how we would feel if he said that he was gay. We both told him that it didn't matter to us whom he chooses to be involved with, because he is our son, and we would love and support him regardless of his decision. It was then he told us about his friend and her parents. It was so bad that the girl nearly committed suicide. There is NOTHING in this world that would ever cause me to turn my back on my own children, including this.
My parents, on the other hand, is a completely different story. My mother has the typical JW attitude about it, and my dad (not a JW) hates them with a passion, and I was raised up with this. My dad's sister actually went to prison for murdering a lesbian when she was younger, that is how extreme my dad's side of the family views this.
