  What triggered your awaking?

  i was listening to a radio show about a jw women who had been disfellowshiped , her daughter cut off all contact ,must admit at the time i thought so what.. then this man phoned up and explained he was disfellowshiped for asking about jws being ngo in the united nations during 90s till early 2000s when a newspaper exposed them , i still thought he's a apostate but looked it up found the article then found this forum and even more info..

  Welcome Fadeaway1962 ,for many of us it was a gradual thing over many years ,little things we were told to wait on Jehovah about ,however being a bit impatient because no jehovah was answering any of our doubts we took things into our own hands and looked up the internet , WALLA ,here were the answers we were looking for , not evidently`s,presumably`s, or its most likely , or any other such mumbo jumbo that spews out of the G.B./WT/JW`s mouth .

  And here we are liberated from a lying ,controlling ,cult that has kept millions Captive in A Concept that they are chosen by God to be their spokesperson for God in this day and age,as his prophets .

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  Circuit Overseer to Answer My Questions + Concerns...or Not

  hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.

  a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.

  so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.

  That article is a fantastic piece of Journalism ,how can that article be spread around the world ? It should be available to everyone to read.,JW`s and non JW`s alike

  .Please read this article on the database of child molestors kept by Watchtower .

  How can I spread this article around without exposing myself as the source of its distribution ?

  Or identifying my real name and location.?

  Thank you for clarifying your post fultimestudent .You do make some valid points.I have some vague memory of we as JW`s were to speak a pure language and it led to some speculating whether we would in time be given ancient Hebrew the language Adam and Eve used ?

  I have fond memory`s of listening to Dave Madzay`s talks when he visited our Congregation north of Brissy. The rumour I heard was that the booze got to him and he was DF ended up homeless and drank himself to death .

  I didn`t know anything about the fire episode .

  What you need to do is give them a simple test for your own peace of mind without telling them of course and nothing intrusive or violating their privacy .

  You have said that they have taken your kids to the meetings ?was that with your consent or without it ?

  Do they have kids ? I dont think you have said they do.If they do say that you want to take them to a church of your choice just so they can see the difference in how people worship a God.

  If they don`t have children do much of the same thing as regards your own children ,say to these people that you are going to take them to another church so that they can see the difference in how people worship a God.

  You don`t actually have to do tat just make them believe that is your intention so that they get a balanced point of view.

  And see what sort of a reaction you get from them , my bet it would be a negative reaction to whatever church you suggest ,try a couple if you want ,and a positive reaction to their church,KH

  Red flags should spring up immediately.

  Corona beer sales vs coronavirus ?

  i`m just curious as to whether the corona beer sales have plummeted since this coronavirus has spread in different parts of the world .. it wouldn`t surprise me if sales had a nose dive since this outbreak and just wondered if anybody has any information concerning this ?.
