Honest Hearted Ones
by Sea Breeze inthere are certain wt terms that sound biblical but really just puff up the pride.
hundreds of times the wt has used the term honest-hearted in their literature.
it sounds biblical, if for no other reason because we hear it so often in jw circles.

If anyone is not honest hearted it is the Jehovah`s Witnesses themselves !
If they were honest hearted they wouldn`t be Jehovah`s Witnesses

Remember the green book ? "Your will be Done on Earth " had a lot to say about this and how the 60`s and 70`s would fulfil Daniels prophecy if my memory serves me correctly.

Jehovah's Witnesses and Apostates
by tfjw injehovah's witnesses basically define the term "apostate" as someone who was once a member of the "organization" (a jehovah's witness) but no longer follows the teachings, rules, regulations and practices.
the society gives their official definition in the following manner: "apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of god, actually a rebellion against jehovah god.
some apostates profess to know and serve god but reject teachings or requirements set out in his word.

In trying to protect their members from being influenced by apostates the GB twist the meaning of the word to include a hatred of former friends and associates the former members had.
And this is just not true .The "apostates" don`t cut off association with in many cases life long friends ,it`s the JW`s who do so.

Would you still be angry with Lloyd Evans ?
by BettyHumpter inif instead of thailand, he had gone to a place where its legal and (supposedly) has some sort of oversight to prevent exploitation?
like nevada in the u.s or amsterdam in europe?
would the being unfaithful part still be a deal breaker as far as supporting his channel?

It boggles my mind that Lloyd Evans is still a subject for discussion on this forum ?

My mom died.
by noni1974 init's been years since i posted here.

Hi ,Noni ,my condolences to you .I don`t recall I had that much emotion when my mother died but I feel I did when my father died .
They were never involved in the cult of JW`s, I was .
They were good loving parents and my mother doted on me ,I feel like I was the bastard son that didn`t respect that .and have felt guilt ever since.
July 5 is my birthdate.

Is doomsday coming as the Bible predicts or will nothing happen eventually?
by Fisherman inthe bible predicts that at some point, the god of the bible will take action.
this is very convincing when reading bible prophecy and history to back up prophecy as represented in the bible.
—exactly when god acts is another subject..

I remember when King George the V1 died I was 13 YO it was night time in Australia and I asked my dad "the king has died what`s gonna happen now ? He replied ",nothing will change don`t worry someone else will replace him life will go on the same as always."
I wouldn`t be a bit surprised if the Commonweath starts to disintegrate now that Charles has become king .
Queen Elizabeth11 , R.I.P. She was one of a kind.

Welcome Chickenlips ( where or why did you come up with that name ? LOL ) I first saw your post a few days ago and gave it a miss ,I wonder why ? lol.
Yes I`m an Aussie among one of many that post here from time to time ,me I think I`m addicted to the site..
A lot of great well intentioned knowledgeable people about the JW religion who can offer wise counsel that probably excludes me.
However you do mention the Brisbane area and I spent 37 years in Brisbane ,a lot of the time as an active JW.
So maybe we do have something in common.
I will send you a pm and see where we go from there.
pm that`s the little green envelope at the top of your page. click to open it when you get a message.

Tried to warn another mum
by DarleneGatus inthe thing that broke me was that i tried to warn another mum in the congregation about a brother who was inappropriate with my son, which upset me, and so i called her to talk about it since we both knew him and i had also seen him pin her daughter down on the sofa and slap the girl's bottom.
i called it inappropriate, but i never accused him of anything beyond that.. unfortunately, word got back to him and i had to go in front of 3 elders, including the brother who i felt had been inappropriate.
because they came down on me for trying to stop the behavior, and not on him for being the cause of upset, i felt very hurt and started questioning more things.

." When they texted me about my disassociation letter, I texted back that I was busy eating lunch because I didn't want to take the call. I thought of those elders, stomachs probably grumbling after an elders meeting following a Sunday morning meeting and how they probably thought I was so selfishly eating lunch, but oh well, it's kinda funny.
Is that a normal thing that they would get back in touch with you after you DA`d yourself ?
I was never contacted after I DA`d myself from the Cong.I was in and I was well known in at least 3 Cong`s in my area.
