Hi Gary ,i looked back at Xmas card exchanges i did a couple of years ago ? and have found 8 that I am going to send out tomorrow ,2 cards envelopes I have but with no user name or address to send to ,one was from Berlin ?and I don`t know who sent it. Another envelope was from Milwaukee who I have no idea who it was from.

If anybody wants to send one to me that hasn`t recieved one from me in the past your welcome to do so .

Just remember to also put your address details down and how I can recognise you from this forum .

I have a photo of two lovey guys on a card that might have been from the Berlin envelope but no user names and no address to send back. Both had beards and could be Spanish / Italian ,I have their names and if it was you pm me.

Funniest insults

so, i was wondering what are the funniest insults i've heard/been called.. the woman who taught me the arabic alphabet did a lesson about insults in colloquial palestinian arabic.. the one that stuck out to me was iniqbir or ini'bir.

literal meaning: bury yourself.

Dago ,Wop , black bastard ,(cringe) were targeted for the Greeks or lebanese , whereas Dago and wop for the Italians that migrated to Australia ,at least where I lived in Melbourne .

Asians were slope eyes or slit eyes.

I was an ignorant street kid then ,my apologies .

An Elder who I sometimes worked with in FS would say as he left a householder "I hope all his chickens die off "

or some such thing.

Demons. Afraid or not?

when i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.

a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.

yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

God ,Angels ,Satan, Demons ,Superstitions ,all relate to how much and how deep you believe in them and it affects how your brain operates and plays tricks on you.

i am new to this and recently converted, so please forgive my ignorance.. i am trying not to sin and don't understand something.

it says in leviticus that you cannot consume blood, so no blood transfusions.

i understand this.

What appealed to you ?

Are you open minded enough to examine the past history of Jehovah`s Witnesses ? and reason on why they keep changing their interpretations of scripture, when what they have claimed doesn`t come to pass ?

Don`t be afraid to examine your new found beliefs .

Before I became a JW, I was never in fear of Demons though brought up as a Christian going to Sunday school as an Anglican and Congregationalist and not being a practicing one once I became a teenager .

As a JW I was indoctrinated to have some fear of Satan and his Demons ? { How would a God of love allow such creatures to wreak havoc on his creation beats me }

After leaving the JW`s I`m back to not having any fear of Satan or his Demons .

Come to think of it ,the Bible has never instructed the Jewish people or Christians to be in fear of Satan or the Demons ? right ?

Watchtower Study on 5th December.

the wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.

in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".

however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

now crime is being helped along by the left and people are afraid the police can not protect them and the public's desire for gun control is at an all time low.

When you see what is happening now in Australia with detention camps is every reason there is never to give up your arms.

Sorry Simon, but that is a ridiculous statement to make and a complete misunderstanding of the situation here in Australia.

People ,whether they are black or white are required to isolate themselves away from the rest of the community if they are infected to protect the wider community and stop spreading the disease.

By far the majority abide by and respect that requirement and have no problem complying ,however there is always some idiot who doesn`t care if they are a threat to the health and well being of their fellow man ,and don`t care if they spread the virus.
