Good luck with your writing JeffT,I don`t mind alternative history stories in either books or movies.I have often thought myself about what would the world be like today if Japan and Germany had won the war ?

Australia where I live was in Japans sights.

.And if I remember correctly in the 1960`s / 70`s under was it Sukarno or Suharto ? president of Indonesia that they had a map of Australia with all Indonesian names on it .

I think during those times they were leaning towards communisim .

Maybe i`ve given you food for thought with future books eh ?

And not only that they also accept the name Catholics gave to God ,Jehovah , by a Spanish Catholic Monk in the 13th Century .

And adopting that name Jehovah because it was the most commonly known name used by scholars .

Geeze bill ,please do a draft and edit your next presentation ,sorry but you didn`t learn much from being on the ministry school all of those years ago ,i would have given you a "weak" LOL

It was painfull to watch the first 25 minutes or so ,I just wanted to pat you on the back ,tell you to get on with it ,and stop waffling on .

However after the 25 min.or so what you presented was so informative and enlightening that every JW and ex JW should be looking at this video .

It truly is an eye opener . For anybody who started watching this video and gave up before you reached the 25-30 min mark try again it is GOLD .

Can anybody please tell me just how many Organizations / Charities / Subsidaries , Companys , etc etc ,are connected with this Religion ? Either as a religion ,or a charitable organization or even a cultural organization.?

And the big question is ,how aware are the Governments where they operate under are aware of this Tangled Web They Weave ?

JW.ORG delivering food to JWs in California

so a couple of weeks ago my wife (who is an active jw) got a delivery of apples, oranges, potatoes, carrots and onions.. the story i heard was that the "branch bought a bunch of food that would go to waste and was delivering it".. i am in california and a friend of mine in another cong.

50 or so miles away had the same thing happen.. a few days ago we got another delivery and as a matter of fact my wife was asked if she could "help jehovah with delivering his gifts".

unfortunately she is in poor health and unable to so so.. anyway, the story seems fabricated to me and i am wondering what is really going on.. does anybody have any ideas?

And being parasites on the Govts they claim to be led by the God of this system of things Satan the devil.

Seems to me that Satans system of things does more good for humankind than Gods organization ever did.

And how does that fit in with Rom.13 ? the Superior Authorities of this system of things is by the arrangement of God ?

And Jehovah / Jesus ,supposedly appointed the International Bible Students Association , I.B.S.A. as the only religious organization that was preaching the truth at the time in 1919 ?

And nothing the I.B.S.A. taught in those days is taught by jehovah`s witnesses today as being current "Truth".

And not the Jehovah`s Witness religion I might add that didn`t even exist at that time .

And of course Jehovah`s Witnesses are adept at playing semantics ,claiming even Old Testament faithfull men of old were Jehovah`s Witnesses going right back to Abel.

Which is absurd .

new situation in world helpful to org?

sometimes new situations can provide cover for one’s mistakes or intentions.

for example, suppose that i crack the windshield in my dad’s car one night.

i go home, park the car in its usual spot in the yard, and go to bed without telling my dad because i’m scared and i’m trying to think of a way out of the situation.

Seeing as they own all of these KH`s now what a gold mine they are sitting on to sell them off as need be.

Think of all the $$$$ millions they could reap from around the world. ?

As LHG says , "There really needs to be a physically present congregation and real live people for somebody with an envelope to beg money from"..

Maybe they could re- introduce something like the midweek book study groups where people could meet in private houses in small groups to keep that social connection going . And where they could use Zoom or whatever else is available to keep up with JW.Org and the Governing body .

And they could really say they are getting back to the way first century Christian meetings were held ,meeting in private homes encouraging one another as the day draws near.?

I think the rank& file would lap it up .

Letter writing and incidental witnessing could be encouraged to keep the sheep occupied and busy .the obituaries are there every day with a potential new convert wanting to see there loved one back in the New system of things,in Paradise .

but they are not the only ones.. in 1927 a woman called helen keller wrote a book called my religion.

her book advocates the teachings of emanuel swedenborg who claimed that jesus had already returned.

Their was a movie about Helen Keller called "The Miracle Worker" and Patty Duke played her. in 1962 ?

She was blind and deaf at the age of 19 months due to an illness she had a very interesting life regardless of what her beliefs were.

Also ,because of this Covid-19 pandemic ,if I have read the document correctly ,those institutions that identify they intend to join the scheme have until the 31st of December 2020 to do so and no later .

Jehovah`s Witnesses as yet have not joined the scheme and have not given any notice that they intend to join the redress scheme as of this date.

And they are not the only ones that have failed to do so.

How many of you would actually believe a child abuser would let his crime be watched by minimum two witnesses?

in many closed religious cults, sects or globally widely spread religions, sexual abuse on big scale is revealed and covered up by the religious authorities.

in the jw, the culture is to deal with these matters within the org itself, and the rule is, "no crime can be proven without the presentation of at least two witnesses".

men made the rules, men commit these crimes and men defend them and even forse these children to meet and talk to their abusers.

They pick and choose the 2 or 3 witness rule to suit themselves and ignore the same principle when it proves them wrong.

As an example ,there are 3 Bible accounts ,3 bible witnesses that show/demonstrate a generation is approximately 50 years long. However they ignore these 3 scriptual reasons and come up with a ludicrous unbiblical explanation of an overlapping generation to explain away there failed doctrine about 1914 and the generation that will not pass away which they taught for decades.

1.Matt.1: 17 = 42 generations Abraham Born 2018 BC - Jesus born 2 BC = 2016 years divided by 42 = 48 Years .

2.Luke.3:23-38 =76 Generations from Adam to Jesus ,a span of 4024 years according to WT chronology 4024 divided by 76 = 53 years

3. Luke 21:20-24 Jesus died about the year 33 ? prophecy fullfilled 70 AD well within the 50 year generation period. "This generation will by no means pass away"

There is one more biblical witness which also gives a figure of a generation being about 50 years and just can`t think of it at the moment.

However that`s 3 Biblical witnesses that identify a generation being in the ballpark number of 50 plus or minus a few years and not this ludicrous overlapping generation bullshit.
