  Samson and Delilah...A Hollywood movie written in Bible times

  who needs hollywood scriptwriters when you already have a bible story that has drama, suspense, and unbelievable twists and turns?

  imagine the story of a man who visits prostitutes, kills a 1,000 man army with a skull bone, kills a lion with his bare hands, loses his strength by getting a haircut, gets his eyes gouged out, works at a grain mill and tears down columns with his bare hands, killing himself and the philistines!

  What about samson capturing 300 foxes ,tying their tales together setting them alight to burn down the fields of the Philistines ?

  Of course the magician Jehovah just led the foxes to Samson just as he led all of the beasts of the field to Noah .

  i was talking with my sister and the subject of the wt using rahab as an exemplary example of theocratic warfare which is of course, lying.

  when the wt uses her, they fail to highlight the fact that she was a temple prostitute and an unbeliever when she "saved" the spies.. i said you know, the wt doesn't use the most famous liar as an example.

  that would be peter of course.

  Can someone set me straight ? What lie did Satan make in Genesis?

  God told Adam in the day he ate of the fruit that he wasn`t allowed to eat he would surely die, right ?

  Adam surely would have told Eve this restriction not to eat of the fruit also. right?

  Satan told Eve that she would not die in the day she ate of the fruit , and she didn`t die in that day nor did Adam right?

  Satan also went on to tell Eve her eyes would be open and she would know good and bad just like God ,and she did come to know good and bad just like God and so did Adam.

  So how is it that Satan is a liar and the Father of the lie from this genesis account ?

  Without doing scriptual gymnastics ?

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  I would like to see a comparative map of a bad flu epidemic in the the world against this Corona virus.with how many infected and how many deaths have occured .

  I think this Covid-19 scare is blown way out of proportion to the actual threat to life that it poses .

  Jehovah's Witnesses can donate blood

  jehovah’s witnesses can donate blood.

  today i added a new article to my blog that answers the question of whether watchtower doctrine forbids jehovah’s witnesses from going to their community blood bank and donating some of their blood to help replace all the products from blood accepted on a daily basis by the community of jehovah’s witnesses.. .

  If its not violating any copyright laws or anything is there anybody out their who could reproduce this letter mentioned by Cjackson of Cliff Roche`s letter ?

  However :

  you will be shocked (maybe, lol) when you read their hypocritical response. Had I known the letter would become famous among ex Witnesses, I would have kept a copy.

  Cjackson,is the reply also contained in the book you mention ,however you just didn`t keep the letter/reply yourself. correct ?

  What amazes and amuses me about this Corona -virus scare is in the supermarket I attended yesterday ,shelves of everyday items foods ,meat and whatnots ,the stocks were pretty normal ,nothing to see here ,however when I got to the aisle where the toilet paper used to be there was virtually none ?Whats this pre-occupation with toilet paper ?

  The newspapers are reporting the same craziness that seems to have gripped the Country here in australia ?

  Their are a number of scriptures that speak of a new heavens and a new earth ,so I don`t think you would get much traction out of using that scripture in Psalms with a JW .

  specifically, the parts of the world that pollute the least and have the cleanest industries.

  she doesn't seem to care about india or china who are the biggest polluters by far.. "how dare they".

  What person alive today that is older than 60-70 years still has exactly the same belief they would have had when they were 16 years old ?

  This has been a fascinating thread and I wonder how I ever missed it .However with all due respect to Marvin ,in my 32 years as a JW I cannot for the life of me see any BOE in any congregation on earth not having a serious problem with any JW donating their own blood for any purpose .

  They just would not believe that the GB has ever authorised such a thing.And no matter what you showed them it would be dismissed as apostate lies.

  Admittedly I have not been able to watch the Blog as it has been taken down and I wouldnt have a clue if their is any way to retrieve it ?

  With my 32 years as a JW from 1960 on and now out for approx .26 years I have never come across this thought before ? Which to me is very surprising as it has so much implications attached to it.?

  And if anything I have come across quite the opposite. The WT has come out against JW`s donating their own blood in case of future emergency`s for them that may occur in the future .

  It should / would have been an ongoing topic for years surely ?

  March 2020 Broadcast - Hard Push to Baptism. Why?

  the jw broadcast for march 2020 is a hard push for more baptisms, where mark sanctamonious sanderson makes ready use of the phrase "baptised disciples of jesus" instead of their typical catch phrase "baptised servants of jehovah".

  the "jesus message" is somewhat unusual rhetoric for jehovah's witnesses.

  why the big push for more baptism?

  Jehovah`s Witnesses have always been criticized by Christendom as not being a Christian religion and looked more upon as being an Old Testament religion with their emphasis on the name Jehovah.

  Maybe its finally dawned on them they may gain more approval / acceptance / converts if they start bringing the name Jesus back to the fore.

  Every time I try to find a historical example of being anointed or anointing it always has to do with religion ?
