  danielle, one of jehovah’s witnesses in south africa, found a bag that a customer had left behind in a coffee shop.

  inside the bag was a wallet with money and credit cards.. when the owner met her to get it back,.

  Who are these so called experiences supposed to impress ? Those that are in ? or are they supposed to impress studys & new interest ones ?

  These type of experiences happen all of the time with so called worldly persons ,people who belong to other faiths and people who have no faith in God or Jesus .

  The G.B. of JW`s like to paint everybody not a JW as a criminal with no conciense and no morals ,which is absurd.

  And I find it funny how not a few fundamentalist religions use these same type of storys to impress their followers.

  And do not forget the 2 witness rule , and here it is .

  The year 1915 did happen and it came right after the year 1914 ,so there you have it.!

  When you stop and think about what the Watchtower/JW`s teach ,i mean to say.?

  Humans created 6000 years ago.

  2000 years later a global flood occured covering the highest mountains and eight human souls saved .

  Another 2000 years and Jesus is crucified to "save" the human race .

  And here we are after another 2000 years waiting for Armageddon which is just around the corner to destroy all of the wicked.

  And Jesus Christ is now into his 116 th year of his reign and he has done S.F.A.

  And we used to believe this crap ,I still have trouble getting my head around that I used to believe it ?

  my wife asked me after the year 2000 came and went without fanfare(because the wt organization said all the “new world” would be here within this 20th century would end), “ what would it take for you to leave the truth?”.

  my reply was “ if i turn 60 in this “system of things”.

  having been raised as a jw, racism was something that was never promoted.

  i now have a 9 year old that has been visiting her biological grandmother and my ex-wife.

  it is my child because i adopted her.

  I would agree with cofty`s comment here.You know what was said that is racist so you could explain to the 9 year old why that might be objectionable and counter-act what was said.

  In that way the child does get two points of view and will eventually weigh things up for oneself .

  Don't tarnish all news outlets by the sensationalism of a few.

  Its very hard if not virtually impossible to distinguish one from the other ,its better to be cautious of all news than be duped by the sensationalists reporting.

  T.V. stations & radio stations are all vying for maximum ratings and News is just another way of getting the top ratings ,provided you can sensationalise it without going too far overboard.

  Embellishment ,exageration of the news is not uncommon nowadays if ever it was.

  Thinking back to my JW days I was always stupefied about "Watching the World" at the back of the "Awake" magazine ,the news was always 2 or 3 months behind the times ? And there was always a negative aspect of the "news" they were reporting.

  i am not say this is all and it all fits nice into this box but the congregations i went to would all fit into them.

  the first type is the old school.

  this type is very conservative old school.

  Yes I have experienced the same two and one or more inbetween.The more liberal ones were a helluva lot better to be in than the conservative ones .At the time I couldn`t believe the contrast in congregations ,they were almost like a jekyll and hyde of the religion.

  so... it has been six years since my last post.

  i wonder who still remembers me?

  a lot has changed and then again, a lot has not.... i'm still out of course as are my children who are doing very well.

  I gave you a dislike for calling these people retards , they are people with a disability and know how to have fun and enjoy themselves .

  Maybe you just need to grow up and have a bit of empathy for people that are less fortunate in life.All that I have ever come across are a loving and caring people.
