  Like this Jehovah guy is a relatable person.

  Scored a big contract building the universe, started out well, getting through a shit load of work but things take a bad turn with rebellion. The disappointment poor old Jehovah would have experienced.

  And he still had to explain to his first child he was planning his murder.

  Imagine all this in your first week at a new job.

  Removing Historic Monuments and Statues - Does the Term "Historical" Make it Right or Wrong?

  after further review and thought, i really don't see how removing a monument or statue that may be truly offensive to a large group of people is in some way rewriting history.. i think of germany or other parts of europe.

  you don't see swastikas on buildings or statues of hitler or mussolini or other upper level generals in public.

  would it be good for a person (think jewish) to drive around a city and see hitler in a public park, even though it is "historical?

  What about Egypt? It’s full of ancient monuments built with slavery. Shall we tear down the pyramids?

  Some of the outrage I can get, they want to rename a massive gorge that runs trough Western Australia, currently its the King Leopold Gorge, he had nothing do with discovering it or our colonial history, we could come up with a better name after consultation with the traditional land owners.

  They’ve all ready destroyed statutes of Leopold in Belgium and other parts of the world, so the old git has it coming.

  Perhaps we could rename the stunning location after George Orwell, one gets the feeling sometimes

  US military pussing out

  the us military is really pussing out over the past several years.

  mixing women and men and wondering why women get pregnant on the front line and letting in trannys and others who should not be in the military now the bend over to terrorist groups like blm and others.

  if we ever have to go toe to toe with the big boys of the world that do not puss out we may very well get our asses kicked.

  Most who serve in the military won’t have to face a man in anger. It takes an army of people to put one person on the front line.

  It’s childish and simplistic to expect every single person in the military be trained into a UFC combatant.

  Truck drivers, cooks, electrical engineers, it doesn’t matter the fuck what your sexual orientation, it’s only being competent that matters

  Fantastic idea, defund the police but first tackle the gender inequality! The police don’t fairly represent all genders, fix the misogyny and sexism, then we can heal and start fixing systemic racism!

  We should also be asking why we’re funding the police when all they do is pollute the environment, I don’t see any police using renewable energy or electric cars. Stop giving these polluting racist scum any money! Give it to poor people.

  Yes, defund the police entirely or start a serious conversation which includes the lack of bi-sexual and pan-sexual transgenders on the police force which is dominated by toxic-masculinity and racism. It’s so obvious only bigots disagree.

  new situation in world helpful to org?

  sometimes new situations can provide cover for one’s mistakes or intentions.

  for example, suppose that i crack the windshield in my dad’s car one night.

  i go home, park the car in its usual spot in the yard, and go to bed without telling my dad because i’m scared and i’m trying to think of a way out of the situation.

  I think it’s highly possible they do something like that.

  They can preach the current situation as a warning, a taste of the coming tribulation, the governments are going to seize assets soon anyway according to their prophecy, unloading it all now will solve them problems.

  They can quote scriptures about god not living in temples, their faith being a living thing. Most of the sheep wouldn’t blink, they’d rather froth at the mouth as they’d see big changes in the org as a certain sign of imminent Armageddon.

  COVID-19 can be the WT org’s financial “Get out of jail free card”, I’ve got the feeling it might have to be.

  Nice balanced comment girl next door.

  Guns are tools needed for jobs. The left seems hyper sensitive to the idea of guns at all, the right wingers sometimes come across as over balanced in their zeal for them.

  I don’t mind a gun conversation, because I appreciate them for what they are, same way I’d enjoy talking about Husqvarna chainsaws. It’s a tool for a specific job, and most people appreciate the feel and precision of quality instruments.

  If rioting becomes a genuine reason to own several guns with high capacity ammo, the breakdown in society would be so significant at that point that guns and ammo would be on a massive list of ones problems.

  It is interesting subject matter to explore, I sometimes get the feeling that a few people in the USA are craving a dystopian future with gun vigilantes ruling the landscape, I’m not talking about the Clintons either

  Economic Recovery after COVID-19

  it feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.

  a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.

  the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.

  It feels to me the water has gone and we know a tsunami is coming, just yet to see how big it is. Unemployment and debt will cripple Australia if things don’t kick on soon.

  The government has a plan, lower the standard for allowing migrants permanent residency and increase the numbers allowed, the can even move straight into our already overcrowded cities, no need to buy in regional towns. The economy keeps growing and we all lose in the long run. Fantastic!
