<P>Well, at least there seems there's a couple here like sKally that might help you out...at least not dismissing you outright as a troll or your plight as a scam...a Christian would be cautious but upon reasonable proof of legitimate need, would be generous...</P>
<P>just my 1 denarius...</P>
<P> ;</P>
<P>give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for life...there were good solid leads given by some in this thread to go on...considering the fact that you already are working part-time albeit "working poor"...</P>
<P> ;</P>
<P>It's not like we haven't helped others who we "know" here financially and otherwise...like the Calgary teen's dad whose daughter died from an illness involving the blood issue...and then we never rushed to judgement as to their legitimate need...thank God for the 'net that it is an even greater tool in the hands of the deaf ones...just think of that next time you give advice to "sell their 'puter...." like tell the fisherman to go sell his net and boat!?!</P>

Financial Help.
by Yizuman inhit my posting limit and am using my second account..... i don't know if anyone can help or not.. but i am in a desprate situation whereas i have to swallow my pride and seek out some help.. i am behind rent as well as my morgage ( i own a moble home on a lot rent).. need food as well.. phone needs to stay in service since i am deaf and need it as part my text communication for hopes of landing a better job.
sister can email me to let me know if a employer calls, so i can drive over and find out what's up from there.. i work at wal-mart and alot of us have our hours cut to 20+ hrs a week, so this is hurting me fianacially.. job hunts is hard since i am deaf since most employers seems to prefer hiring a hearing person.. i know of a deaf friend who is unemployed and he went thru 20 job interviews in a month.
none of them ever called or emailed him to say he got a job.. family can't help since they all have their own problems to deal with.. i can post all the info you need if anyone needs it, such as my landlord's address and my morgage address if anyone wants to mail a check directly to them.

Keep Free From Murmuring....Are YOU A Murmurer?
by minimus inwt.
11-15 02 states:"persistent murmurers attach too much importance to their feelings or position, drawing attention to themselves rather than to god.
if not checked, this causes dissension among spiritual brothers and hinders their efforts to serve jehovah shoulder to shoulder.this is so because murmurers invariably voice their complaints, doubtless hoping that others will sympathize with them.

This is a typical JW assumption...assume the worst in motives of people. Without digging deeper, the foundation is laid that murmurers "draw attention to themselves rather than to God", yet, typically an opposer will try to draw attention to the issue at hand, which the Witness will try to avoid, because digging deeper will reveal the UGLY truth that he cannot face.
"doubtless" hoping that others will sympathize with them...again, the skillful writing department using this whisker word attempts to disempower the reader from arriving at any other conclusion than the one that they wish the reader to come to. The WTS loves using these types of words, like doubtless, unquestionably, evidently, etc. in their Watchtower propaganda.
What makes them think that the murmurer is necessarily drawing attention to himself and/or wanting others to be sympathetic? Or caring about "position" for that matter? What causes this assumption? What about actually dealing with the complaint at issue?

Yeah, the address is listed in Downtown Toronto, which is either primarily the 416 or the new 647 area code, yet he lists the Georgetown Bethel phone number in the 905 area code which covers the periphery of the GTA. (along with 289 now).

OK. I haven't posted in a while...but I just saw an interview with the two parties' lawyers on CTV Canada AM this morning. Shane, the girl's mother's lawyer, said in closing that the mother "would have supported her daughter no matter what decision she made."
To quote Wayne Gretzky, I suspect that that's a "crock of bull."
At sixteen, though, maybe more credence should have been allowed to make her own medical choices as a "mature minor".
Having said that, I'm not a fan of transfusions...if I had no other clear choice I would take them, but I would rather have my own blood stored and then reinfused if the circumstances permitted it (i.e. elective surgery.)
Other than that, I just shake my head at what acrimony religious beliefs cause.

Last Sunday's Watchtower study
by Room 215 inhas anyone else noted that in last sunday's study article (june 15 wt), i believe on paragraph 16, the one ``bible study aid'' i consider to be indispensible -- the concordance-- was conspicuous by its absence: the only ones cited were the insight on the scriptures, and the cd-rom ``watchtower library.
'' in these latter two cases, both contain material now considered to be ``old light'' and hence harmful to one's spiritual health.
it would seem to me that they don't want anyone reading the bible in the absence of these two watchtower prisms.

Well, the Aid to Bible Understanding was contributed to by Ray Franz, and the WT CD-Rom contains revisions to the printed versions.
That figures.

Well, pay would be nice, but now they're relegated to the social welfare class of collecting government subsidies. Yet they want to have the taxpayer cake and eat it too by concealing their (likely cooked) books.

Yeah, exactly, what is a Jew anyway? Or what does one look like? Good point.
I sympathize with those on here that are critical of the way parties to the debate tend to sound harsh, but hard-core creationists are also overzealous in applying half-truths and contortions as well. I think that, like other issues, the real truth lies somewhere in between; perhaps slanted toward evolution and adaptation theories, but in between nonetheless. It's when both sides dig in their heels and treat the subject as a dichotomy that good discussion and thought derails, I find.
When you're brought up a loyal and zealous JW proclaimer, you're gonna hold a certain point of view.
When you're brought up a loyal and zealous JW, then get kicked in the nuts by that same organization, you're gonna hold a certain point of view.
When you're brought up a loyal and zealous JW, get kicked in the nuts by them, and then build a solid body of evidence against them, then you're yet gonna hold a certain point of view.
How much we strive to filter these biases out of research will correspondingly determine the intellectual value of that research.

Going out in service......once again.
by LuckyLucy inwell...it's sunday again and its time for me to get ready to go "out in service".. exept now, instead of putting on a long dowdy skirt , blouse up to my fricking neck and geeky shoes, i will be putting on sweat pants,a tee shirt and high top rebocks.. instead of carry a bag with watchtowers and awakes..i have a backpack with leaflets about protecting your children.. 25 years ago if anyone told me i would be doing this i would have said your out of your mind!!.
thank you wt for stripping my dignity away by sending me door to door preaching your bull shit.. because now...every door i go to i am slowing regaining my dignity and self worth.. thank you wt for training me so well...how does it feel to have your own "weapon" aimed back at you??

Spiritual terrorism more aptly describes the JWs. In fact, the "Jehovah God" false god they portray is nothing but a terrorist, who rules with fear. And they advocate physical terrorism, too, in preaching about wiping out 99.99% of the human population.
F.E.A.R. stands for False Evidence that Appears Real. This describes their false predictions to a "T". It appears real because Witnesses make important secular decisions in life around those predictions, even making them a way of life. And, of course, it is based upon clearly falsified "evidence" from the Bible. It is the foundation of mind control, or "mental-regulating", and this in turn is the root of terrorism, spiritual or otherwise.
