"Are you the plumber?"

i've been debating whether or not to post this story simply because the org knows who i am (post history from pre-'05 will tell you all you need to know), and i'm not sure if they would give my parents shit if they knew what transpired earlier this summer.

but you know what, i don't care what they do, because my mom is dying of stage iv cancer and i feel this needs to be heard by anyone struggling with the loss of contact from their relatives.. for those who are not familiar with my background, i became a small thorn in the side of the wts while i was still in.

i'm not big on being deceived, and for me, the org crossed my personal 'red line' when it came to blood and the child abuse issue.

Just a Rant .......

hi beautiful people ..... so today is my wedding anniversary ....... .

and first of all my dear husband forgot again .... which is normal according to my dear old dad "it's a man thing " .

but to add insult to injury , i must wait till friday to be taken out for dinner , because low & behold my jdub husband can't miss one bloody jw meeting !

Hi Beautiful people ....

So today is my Wedding Anniversary .......

And first of all my dear Husband forgot again .... which is normal according to my Dear old Dad "It's a Man Thing "

But to add insult to injury , I must wait till Friday to be taken out for Dinner , because low & behold my Jdub husband can't miss one bloody JW meeting ! Once again the Kids & I are put on the back burner , once again we are the after thought .....

I thought if Anniversaries where the one thing you are allowed to celebrate in the Borg , then why not do it properly .....

So I know this sounds petty , But I'll be spoiling myself & my 3 beautiful children with something special & my Jdub can go attend his meeting ......

What would make an Ex-Jw go back to been a full in Baptized JW

i was just wondering , why would my jw husband return to been a full blown baptized jw after 20 years of fading?.

he has spent 20 years of his life been a worldly person , with a worldly wife & kids & worldly friends .... to joining the borg full time , to getting baptized , to getting new brothers & sisters .... and to writing off most of his worldly friends (some his known his whole life ) , to trying to convince me & our children how wonderful this org is ......and anyone else who will listen :(.

has anyone ever experienced this ...... oh and he seems to be in it 110% and no-one can say anything about this crazy org or show him proof that it all bs...... his such a clever independent , successful guy , why on earth would he go back to this , after been out for so many years & change into this domineering , opinionated fool ..... oh and his entire family also went back ... father , mother , brother & sister .

I think you guys are right it must be to either please his Domineering Father(narcissist ) who is definitely the head of the family or because my husband turned 40 and was worried about what happens after he dies or not been able to live in paradise when Armageddon comes knocking ....... #rollseyes
As far as I know they left after his mother had a stroke from drinking excessively when he was in his late teens .... and according to him he left cause he couldn't stick to all the rules & regulations & pressure they put on him when he was a teenager ...... But yes as someone replied to my question , I think it's got a lot to do with family pressure & blood is thicker than water ..... But what about his non-believing wife & children is he not worried about what will happen to them & not seeing them in this so called paradise .......

The more I hear all the nonsense these people spew about their true religion , the more I am convinced my husband has been taken over by a cult ...... Luckily I'm a stubborn , very patient person & I will try get him back to thinking like a normal person one day & I am making sure him and his family don't brain wash my children into believing this nonsense .......

“Do You Know the Time?” From WT Sept 2018

there is a one page article in the current wt study mag, sept 2018 pg 22 with the title “do you know the time?”.

in that article it describes a number of different ways you can say the time is 1:30. it goes on to say “there are even places where that same time could be expressed as “half two,” meaning 30 minutes before two”.

what i would like to know is this, where in the world does “half 2” mean 1:30?

Blood Transfusion Permitted

i just overheard an anointed acquaintance on the phone with a friend of hers who has just had surgery for cervical cancer.

among the snippets of dialogue i heard on my end of the line, these ones stood out:.

"you lost a lot of blood?

I asked my JW husband a few weeks ago what would happen if myself or one of our 3 children needed a Blood Transfusion what would he do ......

Well I was very surprised by his answer ....

He said that the decision would be left up to me & he knows full well that I would allow my children & myself to get a blood transfusion if it meant it could save our lives ,

His reasoning been that it wouldn't affect him as the organisation knows that his wife & children are not JW's so it would be my sin to carry ...... But I feel that it's his way of working around this crazy rule & saving his kids & wife's life if need be .... and thank goodness cause it worries me daily .

So What happens to all the children ? Do they stay children or do they become adults ? Or do they just get wiped out cause they weren't baptized ?

Oh and by the way I have asked my Jdub husband the same questions posted here & I get the same answer .....
