  WT Child/Sexual Abuse Cases and etc

  i had this argument with my grandmother and uncles about scandals that the jw's covered up and whatnot, and they won't budge.

  i brought up the australian royal commission and of course they laughed.

  they then said that the governing body has never lost a sexual abuse case but the "person" who did the crime got charged.

  Don't worry jDash my Jw husband sounds exactly like your family .....

  He was quick to tell me about the Catholic Priests who got caught for Sexually abusing children here in South Africa and how bad been Catholic is Bla bla bla .....

  But when I mentioned the story in The Guardian about the JW sexual abuses cases & the 34million the one victim got paid .... he told me the same thing , he said that they where all lies made up by people who where disfellowshipped .... So u see they have their heads so far up in the clouds that , no-one can show them the light .

  I even asked him about the 2 witness rule & he basically ignored me ......

  Getting Remarried after a spouses death & then they are resurrected after Armageddon ?

  hi guys .

  i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?

  and i will not be asking my uber jw husband , don't have the energy.. thanks.

  going past a 'new-age' shop today i stupidly said to my most 'uber' wife, do you want a reading?

  " ..not a good idea.. oh dear.. she opened up correcting my every other word and brought in a stream of jw speak and now many hours later is still steaming under an acute cloud of sol.. oh god keep me from being so stupid; cut out my tongue, glue my teeth together.

  LOL :) My uber JW Husband is the same .... So don't feel alone ...

  I often get myself into hot water with my Worldly sense of humor & then I get the whole JW explanation which is as boring as watching paint dry ....... But hey if he don't like it he can move along , the children & I find silly stuff funny ....

  What was the last thing you said to your jw family?

  7 years ago i had my last conversation with the toxic jw that mostly raised me.

  every conversation was toxic for my entire adult life with her.

  the last time we spoke was right before the memorial 7 years ago and she was laying on the usual heavy guilt and fear mongering about how jeho counts his people at the memorial.

  I am not a JW but I am married to one ..... which is a struggle on it's own

  I have not spoken to my husbands JW family or friends for the past 6 months , after his father told me that I am an evil person for not supporting my JW's husbands religion & for choosing my family and my gay siblings over the new Mother & Father , sister & brothers I would gain if I supported my husband like a good wife should . An as for his JW friends I have no time for these people especially when they try and talk nonsense behind my back to my children about why JW's are so fab & other religions are wrong......

  Do You Know Of Anyone Who Left JWs And Then Decided To Return?

  quite a few years ago there was a poster here that left the religion because he knew it was simply not true.

  however, he returned to jws because he wanted to be with his family.

  i don’t know how he is doing but gumby was his name.

  My JW husband & his entire family Left some 15 years ago & no-one in the family can tell me why & believe me I've asked a few times & they have all returned & are in it 110% .

  My husbands excuse is that he was young & wanted to have fun & it was because Satan was influencing him ..... But he always believed that it was the only true religion... Bla bla bla

  I think his Father & Mother left because his mother was a raging alcoholic cause she lived with a bully of a husband , but they will never tell me I guess ......

  And as for my husband & his 3 siblings I think they all followed Daddy back to the cult , so they don't miss out on their inheritance .....

  So sad what people do for this cult

  Will Jehovah’s Witness be discouraged from watching any tv at all soon?

  i know it sounds kinda stupid and dramatic, but lately there’s been a lot of suggestive content about not watching tv.

  the broadcast was telling people that watching tv snares you into getting an attachment to characters, (the one where the crazy sister prayed for a tv character).

  and today this watchtower telling people that the only news that should be watching, or even interested in watching is the broadcast or on jw.org news room.

  My JW husband hardly watches any TV at all anymore , the only thing he really watches is Motor Sports , other than that his always busy on his Ipad on the JW.org site .
  
  He does however complain about any program that the kids & I watch , giving us all a reason or Lecture should I say about why TV is so bad for us & teaches people evil morals , promotes killings , sex , bad behavior etc ....

  I am very strict on what I let my younger children watch & my 13 year old son , but hey everything seems to be evil or not appropriate ... So maybe they have been warned not to watch TV .......

  Taking children out on the ministry

  do you have any experiences you can share of things you as a child/your children/grandchildren have witnessed on the ministry that they shouldn't have?.

  I think it terrible to drag a child out especial a baby or toddler on field service or make them stand with the parents with their carts on the side of a busy road etc

  My sister in-law is one of these crazy people that loves to do this with her poor daughter ,,,,,,,,

  I mean these poor kids have to sit threw 2 hours of meetings #Yawn & then get dragged around knocking on doors for another few hours . It makes me seriously annoyed .
