Oh No, Not Again!
by Sentinel inlast night, around 8:30 (sat., 10/19), it appears the serial snipers struck again.. if you travel south on down route 95, past spotsylvania, where two shootings took place, you come to a small town called ashland, va. there is a pondersoa steak house right off the highway.
a 37 year old man was walking out with his female companion, and he was hit by a single bullet to the abdomen.
they closed off route 95 entirely.

Terrible Anxiety Attack Last Night....
by Sentinel ini've been dealing with so much stuff lately, and thinking that i was "doing alright".
i'm not on any medication.
i have had emotional issues due to times of severe stress years ago, and took medication, but the main thing is, i worked through all of that.

Who Wrote "Thirty Years A Watchtower Slave...
by Sentinel inwhen i was recently making a list of the reference books in my personal collection, i recalled that there was this book that the witnesses were afraid of.
i was in my early twenties, and this fellow in the congregation had upset all the elders because he had read this book (thirty years a watchtower slave) and he tried to tell everyone he came across that the witnesses were wrong.
there was absolutely nothing wrong with this man.

After the March, It Wouldn't Surprise Me If....
by Sentinel in.........the wtbts could soon be telling their loyal followers that to even read a local newspaper "could" be wrong and sinful.
(also, as far as that goes, any magazine that makes any coverage of the march tomorrow, like people, or newsweek, etc.
) no doubt, even the journals and tabloids that present news will be unacceptable to the borg, and put in the same category as any and all other apostate literature.

Exploring The Library of Life
by Sentinel inif you have read some of my posts, you realize that i am a very complex individual.
when i was a jw, that complexity made me extremely curious and inquisitive, with few avenues to find satisfaction.
after years of trying to "incorporate" my true life's experiences with the jw belief system, (such as things that go bump in the night, and other unexplainable phenominon), and being told that such things were because i was being attacked by satan and his demons, i decided to look beyond the limited horizons of the borg dogma.

Where I Went For Help.
by Sentinel insome of you have inquired of me as to how i've gotten "to this good place" in my life.
for awhile now, i've been wanting to take time and make a list of some of the books that i have read or am reading, books that are a part of my own personal self-help library.
i've read many others, in years prior, when i couldn't afford to purchase books, but had to get them from the library.. my first book was "i'm ok, you're ok".

The Blessings of Owning A Pet
by Sentinel inguess what?
today we went to a local pet store, where they have these homeless animals, especially kittens brought in every weekend for a few hours to be adopted out.. we got there at a bit after two, and they were packing up to leave for the day.
but, we had seen a cute kitten and the lady who takes care of these animals in transit, stayed so we could pick out the one we wanted.. mind you, this was one of those spur of the moment decisions.

A Week Later; I'm Still Confused.......
by Sentinel inwell, it's been one week since mom called to tell me that she is reverting back to a previous behavior from 1981, called "hard line shunning".
this is after some ten years now, of having communication with me in a restrictive manner.
(well, as "normal" as it could be for us anyway.

What Really Surprises Me Is............
by Sentinel in.............that jehovah's witness aren't required to wear uniforms, adults and children.
i mean, it would certainly settle the issue of who's in and who's out, because whoever wasn't attending meetings couldn't pick up their next clean uniform.
also, they would be totally visible out in public and you would always be "safe", if you associated or spoke to one who was properly uniformed.
