  i can see why a sympathetic worker with a proven record as pioneer would end up in the top ranks, the hope being, that his effectiveness would rub off on the enterprise.

  it shows that whoever runs wt does not count on the governing body to really run the enterprise.

  You might be right, wt might have been reacting to the UN precedent. and: In your opinion there might have been more worthy candidates in the Black JW community than S. H.

  My observation was, that rather being a charismatic big shot, exuding confidence, domination, even in the Army, he came across as the benign influence, that what wt thought he would bring through his presence,

  at matthew 28:16, the alleged "faithful slave" changes the number of people whom jesus invites, from 11 to over 500 - in order to "prove" that men, women, and children were commanded to preach.*.

  3 - “jesus’ 11 faithful apostles...went to a mountain in galilee to meet the resurrected christ!....“upward of five hundred brothers” may have been present on that occasion.” (or may not!).

  other disciples are there too, about 500 of them,.

  When you picture the man (or already incarnate spirit) giving the command, it would be not be a yelling, but earnest insisting speech, only the closest would hear it, not 500 if they were present. It is said he appeared to 500 brothers, not that he had a "service meeting" Christian living portion with families gathering.

  While we are in wt fantasy land: May be the 500 were the fellow revived ones that had come out of the graves and entered Jerusalem, now eager to learn what caused their unexpected new, temporary lease on life?

  This tower of Babel nightmare is still with the tower, and the GB knows it first hand.

  There was an episode implicating David Splane, who was stuck in presenting a "drama" with the use of Quebecois actors and audience, but Parisian tapes.

  The attempt to create locally flavoured audios was less than stellar.

  Thankfully there is a solution for the Spanish arrivals in America, learn english too, , the language of the land.

  one thing that has intrigued me are so many who have left, who are wholly convinced everything in existence is merely by chance now, also claim they wouldn't want to live forever, and perfectly fine if this is the only life.

  now, i would understand that if you were raised into the religion.

  The idea of an endless life, however, was never a question, had appeal for me. it was just assurance that life period would be guaranteed by an armageddon ( destroying those that destroy the earth) event.

  M.a.d. has assured that. so, we can do nothing about any miraculous , beyond our ken, future happenings. so I am happy, because I have valued, fulfilled my present life more, because I did not count on a future one, promised by wt or bible writers to happen.

  The universe will move on into the future, thanks for the great ride!

  well, all the witnesses crossing the border have to do is saying the "A" word, no, not armageddon, " Asylum ". under UN and EU statutes they are immediately entitled to all benefits, and with that free time

  Can start pioneering right away. courtesy of Finnish largess.

  Worse, they could go the Latvia, Lithuania , Estonia, bolster the Russian minority there, and furnish Putin an excuse to do "crimea" there too.

  there was this really lovely old geezer in a congregation i was in here in the uk.. he was an old bloke and very frit of giving talks and that.

  when he was on the platform he'd be bleedin' scared...like an elephant near a bloody mouse.. so, 'ere's my question, right?
