  Strip off the old personality

  yesterday’s watchtower talked about how by becoming a jw it enabled “worldly” people to ‘strip off the old personality’ and make really significantly good changes in their life.. paragraph named 4 individuals (anonymous names of course and probably embellished tales)) sakura, ribeiro, stephen, and hans.

  their lives changed for the good because they found god or because they became jw’s---right?.

  so on the way home from this wt meeting, my wife commented to me how wonderful our brotherhood is and how it helps people who would otherwise be ‘lost’ n this world.

  could be armageddon starting.. or then it could be dust particles in the atmosphere..

  hi.

  only just noticed on the jw borg home page that matt 24:14 is quoted with a full stop instead of a comma after the word earth then the closing quotation marks.. isn't that incorrect?.

  There was no punctuation in the original text. so:

  what watchtower really mean is, that the Good News of the overlapping anointed final (kingdom heirs) generation will be preaching/ be preached and then the end will come. Hope fully for wt by 2075, or it will be another false prophecy point against them.

  Faith and the Bible.Is it all Just An Illusion ? With no basis in the real world ?

  the bible states that :.

  "faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for"...." the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld" heb.11:1. looking at the "true" history of the wtb&ts and not the sanitized version jehovah`s witnesses like to portray nowadays ,nothing the jw`s put faith in ,in over 103 years of their prophecy`s , expectations ,whether it related to the world powers , the king of the north or the king of the south ,the united nations (which they joined for 10 years ) as the disgusting thing that causes desolation,their now acceptance of things they accused christendom of doing such as using atm`s for donating funds,(they never solicit for money){ excuse me while i puke} .all of the failed prophecy`s of the the end/armageddon/great tribulation and the end of false religion babylon the great and the list goes on and on and on.. 1914 , 1919, 1925 ,1975 ,the year 2000 ,and of course since 1914 any day soon , just around the corner ,its imminent ,in our day ,it cant be any more than 5 years away .. 6000 years of human history ended in the late 18th century .

  oops sorry ,6000 years of human history didn`t end till 1975 and that is a date that would be appropiate for jesus christ to start his 1000 year reign.. excuse me , faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for ?.

  The word faith is equal to fantasy. Meaning Bb.

  That is true of religious faith, the word is even synonymous with "denomination" and their doctrine.

  In the real world though, for example, millions of people rightly put their faith into the 4 ways , natural laws, that allow a wing to generate enough lift out of thin air., counterintuitive though it appears.

  JW and their Governing Body , [self] appointed Faithful and Discreet Slave, of 1919, have faith, that they will continue to make divine "biblical history" ." New Books" in the "New System" and all.

  Given the "historical" content of the bible, From the colossal Gen. 1;1 error, the talking snake story, offering of carrion, angels carrying on and resulting flood, ---

  Jws confidently can have the assured expectation of these realities. more unbelievable stories to continue to be spun. -- current version?

  last overlapping partakers will be raptured circa 2075, their bodies disposed off by angels like happened to the one of Jesus.--- no tale is tall enough.

  was he not a famous pilot before the age of reliable aeroplane instruments?

  seat of the pants visual flight rules might be exciting, but will it make for a safe landing?

  I once had a veteran military pilot as a passenger, he had only limited vision left, and asked him to take the controls while I was filming with my 8mm camera, When I stopped, the plane was in a div, better than in a stall though. so?

  keeping your real yes on the horizon, reality, goes a long way to allow you to enjoy your flights of fancy keenly perceived by your eys of the heart.

  Is it better to have a false hope than have no hope?

  just got the news.

  a very close classmate of mine met an accident and died last nite.... just 4 months after i da'd from the borg.. if i am still in, i wouldn't be so sad.

  he has the hope of resurrection.. but now that i am out, i realise that resurrection in paradise is all bullshit.. so what's next?

  Part of the grief is that the person that died does not share life with you any more. sorry for the life lost, cut short. so, should not the sharing of time, life without your friend be more precious, albeit emptier? Masking the loss by belief in unproven promises, is missing the point. impressing the uniqueness of life and consciousness, to live it to thefull, carrying it forward. not a comforting idea , but a strengthening I hope. and I hope.

  i read some information from jwsurvey.org the other day and a poster ("big b") posted the following comment (these main words i highlighted in bold) which really stood out to me: .
