An Obvious Omission in the J.W.'s Good News!
by The Searcher inas baptized or unbaptised witnesses, no one ever discussed or even mentioned (at least in my jw experience) this topic: .
"we are preaching about the good news of the kingdom.
why do we preach about only one hope - living on earth?

Isn’t teaching of grace (undeserved kindness) a great apostasy?
by anointed1 inin the old testament the basic teaching is that no sin would go unpunished.
suddenly, it takes an opposite turn in the new testament where grace is shown as flowing through jesus to sinners who put faith in the sacrificial death of jesus.
interestingly, new testament writers admit that both the teachings are in opposition to each other.

Bible supports evolution
by anointed1 inthe thread that runs through the details of bible is evolution.. .
1) a nation believes that they are god’s chosen people and rest of the world is pagan.
when the history unfolds, the so-called chosen people go under occupation by the so-called pagans.

The spirit that guides JW org
by anointed1 inwe can draw a parallel: the democrats lost the us presidential election, and they started blaming everyone else (including foreign powers) except themselves.
they forgot the reason for their own victory before—it was the direct and proportionate result of the poor performance of the then ruling party.
and now after 8 years of mess, people voted for a change.

Where is Antichrist?
by anointed1 init is true that bible has at times fallen at odds with proven science (e.g.
joshua stopping the sun, star being stopped over jesus’s house of birth …etc), .
however, when it comes to entropy (moving from order to disorder) it is in harmony with science—especially with the spirit of what the second law of thermodynamics that says that energy of all kinds in our material world disperses or spreads out if it is not hindered from doing so …... .

No Judgment Day exists for humans
by anointed1 ina judgment day seems to be a fabricated teaching because of the following reasons:.
1) each generation believed judgment day would happen in their time (1 corinthians 10:11; hebrews 10:24, 25).. 2) putting an end to the present system of things and starting an eternally existing one does not match with our very makeup.
our physical body is full of proofs for something that exists as the builder and sustainer of body, for something that exists within the body—which we call “i”—which everyone experiences as something alive, conscious and as made of knowledge.

Faithful slave, new teaching
by inbetween inmost of us agree, that jw doctrine, even if you accept the bible as gods word, doenst add up.. just one detail:.
the new teaching about the fds is, that it was established, not in 1st century, but in 1914 (1919?
), and that jesus looked down on earth after his installment as king 1914 and choose the bible students as his organisation.. however, the new kingdom book mentioned in this weeks study, when russel and co startd to publish in newspapers from 1903 on, that jesus manouvered matters, in order to make it successful.. hm, he didnt even choose them yet as his people, but he already supported them ?.

Ananias & Sapphire and JWs
by anointed1 inwhen people like ananias and sapphire tried to take the honor that did not belong to them, they were instantly struck with death-penalty.
(acts 5:1-11) when jws did the same taking the glory of being god’s spokesperson on earth (by proclaiming to the world something as though god revealed to them—eg “generation that saw the events of 1914 would not pass away”) god did not respond.
in the same vein, when moses and aaron said “they were going to bring water from the rock” (instead of jehovah), god punished them instantly.

Just a warning to keep on the watch!
by Crazyguy ini was watching a documentary on the massacre at waco the cult by david karesh.
one of the former members that survived, she wasn't at the compound at the time of the fire, said that david had told his followers that they would die being persecuted.
that in the end they would die and then be taken to heaven.

If preachers were serious and open-minded
by anointed1 inif preachers were serious and open-minded, they could have seen themselves as the object of mathew 7:22-23 “many will say to me on that day, ‘lord, lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ then i will tell them plainly, ‘i never knew you.
away from me, you men of lawlessness!”.
people who operate in the name of jesus doing things such as preaching, casting out demons, or performing many miracles are called “men of lawlessness” (or “evildoers” in other translations) by jesus himself.
