they were praying for a new hall for about 10 years until bethel basically stole it off them to build warwick.. .

Make a formal written complaint to the Charity Commission that you donated money to the JW hall and that there appears to be a six figure misappropriation of charity funds. You will remain anonymous but they won't.

jws and other christians would often point to the handful of the bible verses that seem to be scientifically accurate as evidence of its divine inspiration.

but not surprisingly, they ignore the ones that are scientifically inaccurate, or when they address those verses they put a spin on it like saying the account is not a reflection of what the bible is teaching but what men at the time erroneously believed and which god allowed them to record in the bible.

would you believe a jw actually told me that!

13 june 2017. a national christian group is lobbying for the disability discrimination act to be changed so that it can discriminate against people with mental illnesses, on the basis they could upset the "sacred" nature of church services.. familyvoice has called for a religious exemption to the act, arguing it interferes with freedom of religion.. in a submission to a federal parliamentary inquiry on freedom of belief, familyvoice said a person with a mental illness had the potential to interfere with a church service.. "for very good reasons a religion may not wish to engage a person who has a mental illness and displays disturbed behaviour," the submission read.. "For very good reasons a religion may not wish to engage a person who has a mental illness and displays disturbed behaviour," the submission read.

"A simple provision should be added for an exemption from the act for persons ... whose conscientious beliefs do not allow them to comply" . . .

If they fail they could always fall back on the teachings of jehovah and the Watchtower who declare that if you go near "mentally diseased" people you could catch their disease and die.

the nephilim account in genesis is utterly ridiculous when you consider that angels are sex-less beings and would therefore lack sex-drive and romantic attraction.

think of how difficult it is for humans with a sex drive to be sexually attracted to animals.

now take away that sex drive and it becomes literally impossible.

Rutherford and Watchtower may actually have a point. Imagine being given the choice by jehovah of spending 15 minutes reading a Watchtower published Rutherford booklet or spending an entire year studying the bible according to Watchtower's interpretation.
