i've recently been at an assembly here in romania and there was an announced they were running a 10,000 euro deficit and urging all attendees to donate more money besides the already 5k has was donated during that day.
i really don't understand these things.
it's their own assembly hall.
The Governing Body have discovered that in doing the math . . .
($7500 + $5000) x 35 assembly days ÷ (Watch Tower x lawsuits) = Deficit.
Perhaps Governing Body member M. Stephen Lett can explain Watchtower's financial situation in Watchtower simplified, i.e. out of both sides of his mouth.

since the advent of the trolleys do the majority of jws still go door to door like we used to?.
do they still have meetings for field service on sat mornings and sun afternoons where most head off to the local territory while one or two go to do trolley work or has the importance of door to door work reduced?.

You know the door-to-door preaching of JWs is in decline when even the media and public notice it. Add to that the JWs are drastically reducing their Watchtower and Awake! magazine printing, conventions, meetings, books, branch offices, headquarters staff, printeries, assembly halls, kingdom halls, etc.

lets face it, most of us here on this forum, and ex-witnesses in general know more facts about the history, background, practices, current procedures, scandals, etc than the average "still-in witness"!
