Maybe someone out there knows for sure about this. I am a born-in, and I can't recall one single drama or video about Jesus, ever. It is very telling in my opinion, if I am right. What if it's only been 50 years? That is still wrong! The new JW official site says that they are proud to be Christians?! Huh??!

Sorry about that.... So why in the last 100 years has there never been a JW produced movie about Christ Jesus?! Sure Russel did the photodrama of creation, but come on, surely someone could have made something in the last 100 years!? No dramas either!? If Christendom's movies are so innacurate then why not set the record straight? Make a Jesus movie!! What are they afraid of? Has anyone else thought about this?! Is sparlock the best they have? I skipped the meeting last week and watched " Super Book " on YOUTUBE and learned more than I would have at the meeting!!

Interesting topic. We know JW was adopted because Rutherford wanted a unique name. What makes me sick is that in the JW " light " video the excuse for JW's not calling themselves Christians is because they ( Rutherford and cronies " felt that it had become a meaningless name. So why not SHOW PEOPLE what being a Christian means!!!!! That is one of the dumbest things I have heard!! I have also decided that in my next Elders meeting, if they ask if I believe that Jehovah is using the organization today, I will say YES with a clear conscience. I just won't say that I don't believe in the same person they do when I hear that name. Their " Jehovah " is not my God. They do not really know the Father because they reject the one He sent, namely Yeshua. Also, I am tired of hearing it over and over. At the DC, I heard a young Bethelite Elder use the name Jehovah 67 times, only he said " Jehovahgod " for 30 minutes.

I know for a fact that POP-Country make me ill and impairs my judgment, and gives me the urge to buy Old Milwaukee at Walmart, so I believe music affects you. Seriously though, sound is just another wave-form of energy right? Why wouldn't it affect us? I will look for an article that I read once. It was discussing scientists who were studying plant life and song birds. They found that certain flowers opened quicker in response to the frequency of song birds. When do birds usually sing the most? In the morning when there is dew and moisture present. The flowers responded to the birds at the most opportune time to get the most moisture before the heat of the day. They even did experiments without the birds, just recordings and the same thing happened! Pretty cool... I know music affects me, I love my Pink Floyd!! Especially the song " Sheep ". I would think that the more calming the better it would be for pain. I would imagine stress would make any condition worse, sorry you have to deal with that.

My take on current direction of WTBS
by Cagefighter inafter keeping up with the changes and new practices of the "org" one thing seems clear to me: the wtbs is looking at getting out of the religion business.
it seems running a worldwide religious organization is becoming too much of a legal liability especially when relying on uneducated and poorly trained men to run said organization.
look at the quagmire, the catholic church suffered with the child abuse scandal and this was a much larger and educated group of people.. that being said, i see the wtbs retreating back from being the head of the religion and moving back towards simply being a publishing company.

Gayle, right on. No control will be given away. Tight control is the only thing keeping the slaves working! Any perceived weakness by the GB would mean the sheeple would leave. The GB will go down swinging in my opinion. I would love some huge shake up though, just to free my family.

It seem that everything depends on the BOE that you have. That letter to the BOE says NOT to conduct " witch-hunts", but that is up yo the discretion of the BOE. The legal machine has carefully things to give wiggle room for all parties except you. They control the terms. If an Elder has it out for you and bullies some others to go along, then the witch-hunt was " protecting the flock ". You have to be really shrewed and read everything, and piece it together. They do what they want, and you must agree. Here is an example from the Insight Book under " Gossip/slander ", just look at the last paragraph in the first sub-heading ( I can't cut and past for some reason ).
" On the other hand, it is not gossip or slander, or wrong to report conditions affecting a congregation to those with the authority to oversee and correct matter. This fact is demonstrated in the scriptural record....". It goes on.
Although that is in print, try disagreeing with something because you feel it affects the congregation negatively. You will swiftly find your thinking being " re-adjusted ".

Field Service Requirements
by DATA-DOG inhas there ever been any official letters stating the amount of field service required to be considered exemplary?
usually the number given is 10hrs, but if you look up " 10 hours " in the cd-library you get 14 hits.
none from the bible of course, and only 3-5 are related to field service.

Thanks everyone,
Black sheep, thank you for that article.
sd-7, Mega Man is awesome and nice comments.
Blondi, you are awesome. I am amazed at all the things I have still not read in the CD Library, of course I was not born when those articles came out.
Nambo, that sucks.
Mr freeze, I know the feeling.
Balaaamsass, You are right " nebulous ", so exemplary is what they say it is.
WT WIZARD, Did that happen to you? 175 hours a month?!!??! That blows my mind!
Recovery, thanks for the scripture. Does taking the lead apply only to visible field service? Is there more to being a Christian? Wich is more important kindness or visible field service?
Youngbro, were you naughty, or did you raise questions about the org?
Skin, strange how that number can vary from one place to another and be " adjusted ".
Dozy, At least you spoke up! It sounds like his brain shut down mid-conversation. Fear of questioning the GB.
NOLAW, my Cong requires 10 as well.

Interesting, thank you everyone.
So " scripturally " should this number or any other be used as the sole basis for determining if a brother or sister is exemplary? Does Hebrews 13:7 only apply to just preaching visibly in the ministry? What makes someone exemplary?
