For any that still believe in God and Jesus, what is your reasoning on this matter?

in the old testament, god was always full of anger and jealousy resulting in the murder of millions of people.

we’re told jesus perfectly reflects his fathers qualities.

why in the new testament does jesus show no hint of anger and jealousy and wanting to kill people?

i knew of a ministerial servant that was called out because he used fire crackers on the 4 th of july.

we had to have an emergency meeting as to his qualifications.

i remember imploring the body to not make a big issue over this and it was decided to just “counsel” him about being involved in a patriotic holiday.🤨.

By the way, MANY Bethelites (including many GB) loved to go to the top of the Bossart or Sands and see the fireworks.

They would brag about how its the Best View anyone could have.

at some point, the people whose re-ligions were destroyed may resent thefact that jehovah’s witnesses keep prac-ticing their religion.

FYI By ever metric you can think of - things have gotten so much better since 1914.
NO ONE would want to go back to that time or any other time before 1914.

I always thought it was funny that somehow - Catholic soldiers, would hunt down and jail or kill their Catholic parents, brothers, sisters, who want to stay Catholic. This is the same for every religion.

They treat religion like there is this massive controlling agency OUTSIDE of religion that has a motivation to finally snuff out religion.

Best way - only way - is if that TRUE god revealed itself unequivocally.

Like talking to everyone in the world at the same time, telling us all who it is and what it wants from us.

No longer Hidden

i wrote a letter some time ago and to my surprise and despite the elders manual saying that a letter is sufficient for establishing 'wrongdoing' they would not announce me as no longer a jw until i met with 2 elders to verbally acknowledge that the letter was written by me.. .

well yesterday i met with them and the meeting lasted 2 minutes.

Giving them a letter or getting DFed or just Ignoring them has little to do with if you feel free. I think.
