  No longer Hidden

  i wrote a letter some time ago and to my surprise and despite the elders manual saying that a letter is sufficient for establishing 'wrongdoing' they would not announce me as no longer a jw until i met with 2 elders to verbally acknowledge that the letter was written by me.. .

  well yesterday i met with them and the meeting lasted 2 minutes.

  "did you write the letter?

  Freedom exists in our minds only.

  Giving them a letter or getting DFed or just Ignoring them has little to do with if you feel free. I think.

  Tonights mid week meeting study 7 " Accurate and convincing"

  the video at he mid week meeting tonight shows a video on how teaching must be based on hard researched fact and that we are encouraged to look at watchtower literature to get up to speed on a subject.. here is the link to it https://www.jw.org/en/publications/videos/reading-teaching-videos/accurate-and-convincing-video/.

  i find this quite disturbing when you look at the feb 2017 watchtower which explains the governing body errs in their understanding of subjects yet they claim to be god's channel of communication to his people.. what are the thoughts on this?.

  i know there are other topics on new light etc...

  DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT the things people believe about JESUS?

  do you ever "think about" the things you just take for granted about the story of jesus?.

  there are things about christianity which should make honest thinkers scratch their head in wonder.. **.

  when beloved (or hated) public figures are murdered (or executed), some rather large waves of reaction ensue.. there are two kinds of outcry both speculative and descriptive.

  Having read the bible over 20 times, being a JW for 5 decades, and and elder for 2, I have come to the conclusion that it is:
  
  a. One of the worst pieces of literature ever written.

  b. Portraits and evil, hateful, vengeful, weak, god.

  c. Has more continuity holes and plot problems than a 50's scific movie.

  d. Is responsible for more suffering than any other single thing in human history.

  e. Biggest pile of horse crap ever.

  f. I am ashamed I was fooled into thinking it was reality for my whole life.

  I receive so much joy from volunteering to help others and participate in a worldwide ministry. The joy I feel is unmatched.

  Really?

  Yea standing by a Cart or knocking on forever closed doors is SOOOOO much better than playing in the NBA.

  Not to mention the endless supply of P#ssy, pro athletes have access to.

  since jw's are getting directive to not deal with any part of btg, can u verify any halls, assembly halls, sold to a religious institution in your area?

  would be eye opening to verify they have done u[ contracts to sell off properties to an " evil religious organization.

  " after all, they have pointed openly their fingers at those who have child abusers in their ranks, when they are swimming in the same alligator pool.. even if it wasn't a religious org.

  I live in NJ - and the circuit i was part of is getting reorganized (condensed).

  I know of 2 halls (though there could be more because all this is Top Secret still) that are getting sold, and in my area 6 congregations are being ripped apart and shuffled to make only 4.

  it is amazing what comes up when i am researching.. i was thinking about the 2 witness rule.

  amnon tricked his half-sister tamar to be alone with him and then raped her.

  tamar's full brother absalom found out, it is implied by the wts that there had not been 2 witnesses to the rape (hah!).

  The big question is "Why doesn't the rank and file see the absurdity of these bible stories?"

  You mean like when a when a donkey started talking to the guy riding him? They guy has an argument with the donkey like it was a normal thing, instead of freaking out and running away?

  All I can say is that I spent most of my life believing stories like that, and I would wager that most of us here did too.

  Rape was perfectly fine (for guys).

  Concubines were sex slaves.

  A rapist just had to marry the girl he raped.

  Guys Fed who they wanted in the story book called the bible, with almost no punishment ever.

  OCT 2019 Watchtower - Survival dependant on loyalty to JW Leaders

  there is so much wrong with the newly released october, 2019 but that's not unusual.

  what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.

  since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.

  Do You Have A Negative Outlook Because You Were Once A JW?

  it could be argued that exjws have issues in life simply because they were jehovah’s witnesses at a point in their lives.

  .

  do you think you or we are fairly normal considering we were jehovah’s witnesses or do you think we have a lot of baggage because we are a bit messed up ( even if we don’t even know it)?.
