  and one of my jw relatives said they were told by some elders that meetings and field service will resume before the end of the year.. they said this covid virus was a test, like when the romans breached jerusalem and retreated, only to come back later and sack jerusalem.

  After recent actions in Russia and the GB doing a runner out of that country they left behind instructions on how to 'export' money out of Russia to the WT HQ by keeping the amounts below some amount.

  Has anyone the details on this. I have seen so much I dont keep links anymore.

  But asking folks to actually lie? Diabolical.

  i was talking to my sister in law the other day about death, and i mentioned something about the afterlife, i don’t remember what i said but it was nothing shocking .

  but she squealed, “we don’t believe in the afterlife!

  !” and i reasoned, well we kinda do...life after death is the after life..and she just insisted no no it’s not the same thing.

  luck. even as a figure of speech.

  and to get the attention of jw use the word separated in your convo and watch for eyes even at a distance like across the kh in my case to turn to you.

  To explain my wife had been collared by sister yakalot at the doorway of the kh so i was a seen entering 'on-my-own'. I took the opportunity and used separated and of sisters (!) close swung eyes. and another from across the hall ditto.

  Witnesses are obsessed with others marriages and a single person must be bursting with sexual desire so will be a fornication danger!

  i wanted to reply that we used vacation for conventions and important stuff..

  ".......of hearing District Overseers at conventions compare taking the family to visit Bethel as the equivalent to going to Disneyland".

  This was pretty good coming from them who dont have kids and i said so at the time.

  I recall this holiday comment and hearing the big"Whuh?" that came from the audience.

  watching in on my wife's zoom meeting last night, there was an item about discipline is love.

  they played a 'caleb' animated cartoon and then the instructions were 'if possible, ask selected young children' several questions.. it seems however, that there are no children in my wife's current congregation so the questions were all answered by retired brothers and sisters.

  the congregation mainly consists of elderly people (like us) and the few of childbearing age seem not interested in having children.
