  On the current migrant crisis

  thousands of migrants have come to england this year, already beating last year's total.. some may have fled syria and other war-torn countries; others are economic migrants.. let me try to get my head around this phenomenon: migrants are relatively safe in france and other countries.

  they then leave the relative safety of continental europe and risk their lives and that of their children by crossing the english channel in rubber dinghies.

  there's just no fixing stupid, is there .

  Did You Experience People Always Seeming To Get Offended?

  there always seems to be someone offended by something.

  in today’s world if you don’t see eye to eye with someone they claim to be offended.

  if you don’t support a cause that someone deems important, they get offended.

  My brother was an elder for many years. He told me once that the phone rings constantly from jw who are offended by something.

  We had an overseer who gave us this advice in his last talk, "to be aware of those with a hyperactive conscience.".

  At that I had the thought that he had been cornered by one elders wife who knew all about all.

  Don’t Trust the Courts! Splane’s Latest Anti-Apostate Talk

  david splane’s talk “put up a hard fight for the faith” was that last talk presented on the saturday of the annual convention.

  this talk was to largely address apostates and restated ideas and arguments often presented before.

  however, this year, watchtower is spending more time in disqualifying negative findings originating from secular courts and here is the segment of interest here: .

  30 seconds? This should apply to those long-winded includes every thing prayers at the end of meetings and conventions.

  There was a time when I began using my own experiences when answers had to be the print in front of you. Later the wt said to use own experiences and later still they went back to quoting the 'party-line' only.

  some folks never answer up at any time of course.

  It has been my sad experience that whenever someone says in the hall that "Jehovahs is my best friend" etc they are only days away from being dfd. Young people in particular. I feel that the statement is a cry for help.

  What Do You Think About Home Schooling?

  i knew a few witnesses who were very proud of the fact that their kids were homeschooled.

  years ago, i would raise my eyebrows wondering why these families couldn’t simply integrate their kids with other “worldly” kids.

  at this point in time, with so many theories being pushed on kids and their parents, i can see why parents, if they are qualified, could instruct their kids themselves.

  I will put a few thoughts here.

  Take ill educated parents who work in non stimulating jobs or in pt jobs as they have then time to pioneer.

  The home is forever under financial stress. Their one loyalty is to the GB and setting proper classes in a range of topics is an impossible ask given the above.

  Perhaps they wont even have a computer because the gb say their is porn and evils on the internet so no computer and that most useful tool of learning is denied. It will be most likely too be a home with no other books or periodicals to be seen.
  

  Hold over it all that the wts says the world is bad (ad nauseum)and here is a nest from where kids are expected to learn and thrive?

  But wait they will not be expected to get jobs. They will not be expected to advance. Just earn enough (cleaning windows) so you can pioneer..

  and on its goes.

  Sadly the least capable of parents are it seems in my experience the biggest supporters of home schooling.

  and as the "wing commander" has said (see above) the results are kids becoming adults "who could barely read or form complete sentences", and further in my lifes experience will be at least two years behind their peers in social development and general knowledge.

  us cable network vice tv will debut an original documentary that claims to uncover corruption and abuse within the jehovah’s witnesses community.. vice versa: crusaders, which will air on july 28, is part of the channel’s vice versa brand, known for docs including fear of a black quarterback and the neglected pandemic.. the project comes from hollywood director aaron kaufman, who was shunned by his jehovah’s witness family after investigating paedophilia within the organisation.. crusaders is directed by kaufman and executive produced by lauren terp, as well as daniel levinson and robert fernandez for us-london prodco moxie pictures, and danny gabai and andrew freston for vice studios.

  Phew!

  I fear the gb will reach a point of exposure and with perhaps a breakout of people at bethel will go into a screaming panic and order and like all tyrants who create a war to cover up their domestic troubles will order all jw to go about with a condemnation message thus bringing about what the gb have always wanted being actual prosecution of jw the world over. Martyrs martyr martyrs!

  I fear for my family and all those with divided families and too for all the kids caught up in the tidal wave and poor humanity which will have to suffer it all as well.
  

  I hope deeply that any such action by governments against the wt will commence at the top of the organization.

  I remember a convention when the donation boxes were taken off that shortly later an appeal was made for funds as the costs were likely to go past the donations (something like that) then it occurred to me that there is no way the boxes of donations could have been counted in the time before the announcement.
