i've stopped believing the watchtower crap a few years ago.

My Story
by Brother Mike inmy story is long, heart stopping, tragic, and puzzling.
since i posted what was said to be my last post, i received a private message which sparked my attention about the watchtower.
immediately i did research, and have found not only proof from outside sources, but the watchtower openly admitting it.

It's ridiculous, I know. But you can't change your parents right now, so let it go. Have a fun weekend with your child, and perhaps miss next weekend if your still miffed. It's the freakin weekend, baby you need to have you some FUN!!

Self Destructing. oh-oh.
by Captain Blithering inyo dudes.. .
i've been studying ttatt for nearly a year now, i'm pretty much convinced wt theology is a crock, but i can't just leave as i don't want to lose family, and i simply can't disappoint my elderly aging parent.. .
i'm prepared for the long game fade (could be a few years), but have been sowing seeds with the wifey little bit by little bit.

Maybe you should slow down just a bit for now. If you want your wife out with you, you can't risk scaring her. It will be worth it in the end, don't you think? Just make up a number for the silly tracts. They can leave as many as they want, very few people wii actually read them.
I hope your wife wakes up quickly so you don't have to tolerate this for too much longer! All the best on your journey, captain!

Great that he's waking up, but sounds like he could be in for a rough ride if he's not careful & moves too quickly.
You are awesome to be there for him, zoos. Sounds like he's going to need a friend. He'll probably lose most of his.

The Great Tribulation has begun....
by snare&racket inyep,.
i dropped my ipad on the floor and it cracked like a fresh sheet of blue crystal on breaking bad.
if the hollywood movie esque crack in the glass of my favourite posession wasn't enough, as it hit and smashed, i turned from my careful aiming and accidently peed all over my prized apple device.... when it rains....it pours.. listening to opie and anthony radio show so much so as to carry my ipad with me during midnight toilet trips, now seems excessive and regrettable.. get out, get out, get out of the toilet my people.....my apple, the great, has fallen..... .

I'm Returing To Become A Jehovah's Witness Again
by Space Madness ina little background, i faded in 2007 and have been out ever since.
i started studying at 18 and have no jw realitives.
i'm returing because my life is heading in the wrong direction.

SpaceMadness, do what is best for you, but may I ask how you have tried to make friendships outside of the jw's? Perhaps you have been hindered by residual guilt fro your jw days as you attemt to venture out into the world?
Some have suggested finding a new church. Since doctrine isn't an issue for you, why not find an active church where you will make unconditional friends & you can be involved in the goings on there? Is there not one person where you work that you connect with that you could hang out with ocassionally? Find an organization that interests you that you could volunteer at where you will meet people and do some good in the community as well.
True friendships take time to develop. There are ups & downs. But in the end, you have real friends who really care about you. If you go back, even the spiritually weak ones will abandon you if they feel you are spiritually weak. They don't want to be abandonded by their families. Please think about it. And remember, you have all your friends on here! I'm in SE Michigan, if you are in my area, I'd be happy to connect with you! All the best!

The elephant in the room swishes its tail
by Suraj Khan inmy believing mother, with whom i've recently reconnected after twenty years, and i had a mostly pleasant conversation this weekend.
i had planned to visit one of these weekends before the weather gets rough and she called to warn me away this weekend - a vicious storm was coming through.. she mentioned that my uber-dub sister and her family would also be there.
i carefully and calmly explained that being there at the same time would not be a very good thing.

So glad you are reconnecting. You are going down the right path. Actions can speak louder than words.
