  i really don't like people disparaging active jws on this site by calling them stupid, idiots, morons and that, and making out like they're willing puppets to the gb or cruel at heart.

  or describing them like they're puke or as having no desire to learn or listen.. to you, all these things may be true.

  we all have opinions and are entitled to them.

  I actually apologised to my sons the other day for the way I'd brought them up to see things a certain way (a judgemental way) and that now I no longer see things that way. My sons are all grown and all in and I am unravelling all those wrong ideas I'd implanted in their minds over all those years. It is lovely to see the unravelling going on, like seeing blossoms opening on a flower and all the feelings of guilt for 'not doing enough' dropping away. They are seeing that being a good husband/father, being kind and caring to other people (ALL people) is far more important than sitting in a meeting or going knocking on doors. They view disfellowshiped people differently now and don't feel so tied to do everything the WT says or not thinking outside the box or thinking independent thoughts.

  Beauty is only skin deep as they say. It's what's inside that counts. If you are a beautiful person inside you will be loved no matter what your looks and the people who love you will care about YOU and not your appearance.

  Confidence helps. Good grooming helps. A warm smile is the most beautiful thing there is, especially if it reaches the eyes. Kindness towards others is very attractive and a genuine interest in other people.

  If you think you are ugly, you will behave ugly. The most beautiful people are those that don't think about themselves but think about others.

  Forget about your outside appearance. Dump the drugs and work on yourself from the inside out. Try smiling at people (genuinely) and see what a difference it makes.

  Have you ever seen a really old person, a face covered in wrinkles and with hardly any teeth? But that old man or lady loves life and loves the people around them, their eyes sparkle with mischief and they give you a big gummy smile. That's beauty and everybody loves them.

  i suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.

  i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.

  (rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.

  You must have some doubts SFPW, or else you wouldn't be here. If you're trying to argue with us to strengthen your faith it won't work. You'll be left with even more doubts.

  Well, I think if it stops the press being able to hack into people's phones and invade their privacy it's not such a bad thing. The press go far beyond decency.

  The rejection of Jesus Christ as mediator to me is enough for me to go.

  You mention Korah and his followers.. always used by the society as saying we are going against God because we go against his organisation.

  But let me ask you... who is the Greater Moses? It is JESUS CHRIST! (Heb 3:1-6) To me this means that they are putting themselves in the place of Jesus. They have now become our mediator.

  For me, this has got nothing to do with letting Satan in. But everything to do with seeing the way they have demoted the Son of God!!

  I cannot follow a group of men who have changed the gospel and turned themselves into an idol. I would rather obey God than a bunch of men!

  Oh.. and BTW... my username..... that is how I felt on discovering the REAL TRUTH! Fading is a nightmare. It hurts... badly. But I do it for my Lord and Master JESUS CHRIST!

  Vinyl words printed for back of my car should say??

  this brochure is being studied, in the org starting form this week.

  it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.

  it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.
