Try this -
Him: Why don't you return to Jehovah?
Me: I can not return to someone I never left and who never left me.
You could go on to say -
Me: I think what you mean to ask is "When will you return to the Watchtower?" This is very difficult. The Watchtower is constantly changing its doctrines. Samuel Herd just stated that the doctrine on whether or not all the Annointed will be in heaven before Armageddon has changed again. First, it was yes. Then in 2013 it changed to "no". Now it is back to yes. Returning to the Watchtower is like shooting the bullseye on a target at 100 yards while blindfolded. Jehovah never changes. His truth is eternal.

According to the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) to ask the God of the Bible for anything in prayer is pointless.
- God is omnipotent. He already knows everything about you and what you truly need. He knows past, present, and future.
- God has everything already planned out. To ask God for anything to goes contrary to the plan will not be granted. He will not change his mind for you.
Even prayers of praise and thanks are rather pointless. God already knows if you are grateful for what he does and He already knows He is the best God, ever. Just ask Him. He won't answer. He doesn't have to.

Recent Annual Meeting - Asking for Clarification
by truth_b_known inwould someone in the know please clarify for me some alleged comments given from the governing body at the recent/yet to be streamed for the rank and file annual meeting?.
it is my understanding that samuel herd basically tells the rank and file that old light is new light and the new light of july, 2013 is now old light.
to be specific, herd states that the official stance on whether or not the annointed remaining on earth, to include the governing body, will all be in heaven prior to armageddon.. at this same annual meeting tony morris iii tells those in attendance that stephen letts' statement that "we're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the last days!

At this same Annual meeting Tony Morris III tells those in attendance that Stephen Letts' statement that "we're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the last days! Shortly before the last day of the last days" may not be true. Morris goes on to state that it may be awhile before Armageddon gets here, we might not live to see it, but that's no reason to give up because "this is the best life."
If anyone could confirm whether or not this was stated I would appreciate it. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Demons. Afraid or not?
by punkofnice inwhen i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.
a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.
yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

Christians: The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled off is getting people to believe he does not exist.
Also Christians: It's demons!

Consumption of Blood
by MikeJH ini am new to this and recently converted, so please forgive my ignorance.. i am trying not to sin and don't understand something.
it says in leviticus that you cannot consume blood, so no blood transfusions.
i understand this.

All milk has blood cells in it. Witnesses never seem to flinch over that. The Watchtower even encourages breastfeeding. The length of time a piece of animal flesh is exposed to heat has no bearing on the amount of blood it has in it at the time of consumption.

Watchtower Study on 5th December.
by Lost in the fog inthe wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.
in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".
however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

Notice in the Shepherding the Flock book in paragraph 11 the Watchtower directs the elders handling the person's reinstatement to return privileges at a rate of time that would not be offensive to the congregation. Talk about flying an airplane as you build it! The congregation's opinion was never asked if they thought the person was repentant or not. The congregation's opinion was never asked when it came to how long to disfellowship a person.
How do these 3 elders determine what would be offensive to the congregation? Is it the whole congregation or a simple majority? Is a vote taken?
"Hey, would anyone be offended if we let Brother Smith have his privilege to answer at the meetings back?"

It's mostly a feel good meeting place for agnostics who still like the the comfort and ritual of meeting together at "church."
Great teacher hit the nail on the head. There is one of the churches near me. I discovered it because I was looking for a place that gave instruction in Buddhist meditation. Once a week the local Unitarian Church hosts a mediation class lead by a Vajrayana Buddhist monk.
I also saw there is an atheist church that started up. There is at least one congregation that meets in my state. This is just a group of likeminded people who meet on Sundays. There is usually one scheduled speaker who gives a discourse on a topic dealing with science or history.

All human thought is based on one of two things -
Love
Fear
Why did the Watchtower invent the disfellowshipping arrangement? Because they are afraid others in the congregation will follow the alleged wrongdoer. They are afraid the alleged good name of their organization will be damaged. They are afraid Jehovah will allegedly remove his blessings on the congregation.
So how is this a loving arrangement?
Side note: When Jesus came across a demon possessed man he did not shun the demons. Jesus asked the demons "What is your name?" The demons replied, "We are Legion for we are many." Prior to casting the demons out the was a verbal exchange, a conversation, between Legion and Jesus. Legion pleaded with Jesus that they be allowed to entire a herd of pigs nearby. Jesus agreed.
So, knowing Legion "turned their back on Jehovah" Jesus still asked their name and conversed with them. Jesus even agreed to Legion's request.

I`m astounded by this number ,what`s your thoughts ? definite benefits for sure ,but what of the future ?
by smiddy3 inby 2020, 114 launches carried around 1,300 satellites to space, surpassing the 1,000 new satellites per year mark for the first time.
but no year in the past compares to 2021. as of sept. 16, roughly 1,400 new satellites have already begun circling the earth, and that will only increase as the year goes on.
just this month, spacex deployed another 51 starlink satellites into orbit.. right now, there are nearly 6,000 satellites circling our tiny planet.
