I'm ok with religion. I have a hard time tolerating Christianity and Islam. I wish more people would get back in touch with their ancestors' faith. Hail Odin Allfather!

On leaving JW's and hating religion...
by Jehalapeno init's been nearly 4 years now since i completely woke up to the watchtower lies.. thinking back on my jw life, during the time i believed, the organization truly did teach us to hate all beliefs that were contrary to the watchtower's.. i hated "false" religion.. so, when i finally woke up and applied critical thinking to my beliefs, i just went on hating religion in general...only this time i added jw's to that list.. a few months of waking up, i decided to base my beliefs on evidence.
i didn't want to have a set of beliefs unless there was some logic or evidence behind it.
so, now i consider myself an atheist.. and i kept on hating religion.. within the last six months or so, something has changed.

I saw The Last Jedi yesterday ... spoilers!
by LoveUniHateExams inyeah i saw ep 8 tlj yesterday.. first off, the special effects - a combination of cgi and practical - are fantastic, although with a budget of $200 million i expect them to be.. there are many issues i have with this movie and here's one: leia flying through space, i mean, wtf?!.
yes, we know leia is luke's brother and so has some force-sensitivity - she talked telepathically to luke in the empire strikes back.. apart from that, she's never really used any abilities she may have or been taught the ways of the force ... and now she's flying through space!

I have a suggestion. Visit your local District/State Attorney's Office. Ask they how many open cases they have with the following criteria -
1. The Defendant is a Criminal Alien.
2. The Defendant is accused of committing a violent felony.
3. The Defendant fled back across the Mexican border to avoid prosecution.
In my county of 800,000 citizens, our District Attorney's Office has a unit that handles the prosecution of most child sex crimes. On that unit's case load there are over 200 Defendants who are accused of raping children under the age of 14 who meet the criteria above. That's at least 200 children who were sexually assaulted by a criminal alien who will most likely never see justice. That's 200 families effected by a horrible crime that should never have happened because the perpetrator should never have been in the United States to begin with.
That's just the cases with children who are victims of sexual assault. There's thousands more who are fugitives from justice for crimes such as -
Aggravated Robber
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Manufacture and Delivery of a controlled Substance (Meth/Heroin)
Those who do get caught generally just plead guilty for a probation sentence and then are immediately deported back to Mexico. They often come back under another assumed named.
This is my reality. This is my world.

hall crash
by intrigue169 ini live in the des moines iowa area , i would be interested in doing a kingdom hall crash after watching some on youtube, i would love to do that with a group of people.
i haven't meet any other ex jw around here.
i was never baptized, i always knew i could never live up to jehovah's standard so i never did even consider baptizing.

This is a counterproductive action. You will accomplish just the opposite of your goal. If you're going to spend time taking action against the Witnesses you're better off educating non-Witnesses about this organization.

Things to do when im at the new 2018 convention

so, i wanted to know if anyone had any good ideas on how too pass the time (i cant just try and listen i fall will asleep and i cant let that happen).. (only got a few weeks before i have to go its going too kill me but i got too do it).

I'm with Charonsdog. As soon as I hit my teens I was already checking out at the conventions. I kept track of the attractive ladies and was mentally ordering photon torpedo strikes on the Klingons on stage.

It sucks too love boxing and being in a JW family
by Akid48 induring this new year i started to love boxing and i can only really do is shadowbox which is good training, but i really want to do more.
now you might be thinking ''why the heck would this kid take a likeing in boxing when he is in a jw family?
''well thats the point of this post it sucks that i cant do a sport that i like and i want to spend time doing because jw's dont let you do sports and dear god you wont be able to do something like boxing.. (i just made this because i just wanted to talk about this and some of you will understand if you wanted too do sports but you couldnt because you where a part of a jw family).

I took Judo and college and loved it. I was still in at the time. If memory serves, there's a really old Watchtower article entitled "Try Judo". That blew me away.

The whole Witness non-violence thing is all due to the misinterpretation of scripture. "They will learn war no more." When is the last time people put on gloves and boxed on the battlefield? Unfortunately boxing is a disfellowshipping offense.

Separating children at the border....
by mikeflood ini mean, the law about separating children from their fathers crossing southern us border have been in the books since before obama's era.
the thing is that enforcing that law it has become a public relations disaster for the trump administration.
there's also to much animosity in latin america too, remember the classic agitator "u.s. is the evil empire that treat us badly just to see always their own interests".

People in El Salvador put their children on the roof of a train which crosses into Guatemala and then Mexico before the child shows up at the U.S. border. The U.S. provides the child with food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, and an education until they can put the child on a flight back to El Salvador.
If I put my kid on the roof of a train in Texas which crosses into Mexico and then Guatemala before he shows up at the border of El Salvador I would be lucky if I wasn't sent to prison.

Helping my husband wake up, need advice.
by Whynot inmy husband is dfed but he is a prime example of someone who was a puppet for the watchtower.
i was able to wake him a little with the sex abuse scandal.
he was an elder and is very familiar with those rules.

Buy him a Bible that is not the New World Translation. Even my father who is a diehard Witness has stated that the NWT is not the best translation of the Bible.
