The song If I Had a Heart by Fever Ray comes to mind -
This will never end 'cause I want more
More, give me more
Give me more
This is what caused my wife to wake up. Her best was never good enough for the Watchtower.

there is a proverb that speaks of four things as never being satisfied, as never saying, “enough.” sometimes jehovah’s witnesses, as they listen to congregation servants discuss field service, may think these servants could have been listed as a fifth class that never says, “enough.” it may seem that they are never satisfied, as they urge better meeting attendance, more home bible studies and increased door-to-door activity.
to have servants who say “it is enough” before the work is finished would be disastrous to the congregation.

so the occupation of afghanistan is coming to an end and, as predicted, they achieved absolutely nothing in that 20 years apart from:.
the death of 2,300+ service personnel and tens of thousands more seriously maimed or injured.. handing $billions or even $trillions of taxpayer dollars to defence contractors (so the military industrial complex wins, even if the military doesn't have a clear victory).. has this lengthy but short-term military occupation really changed anything in the country?
it doesn't appear so.. i said at the time that the us wouldn't have the staying power to enact real change.
The fact is, even if you were to stop bombing us, imprisoning us, torturing us, vilifying us, and usurping our lands, we would continue to hate you because our primary reason for hating you will not cease to exist until you embrace Islam. - the fifteenth edition of its English-language magazine Dabiq in July 2016,
It would seem that a U.S. victory in Afghanistan would only come through complete genocide. That is not an option. It is also a lesson for those living in the U.S. President Biden recently put down citizens who demand ownership of AR-15 rifles. President Biden said private citizens would need F-15 fighter jets and not AR-15 rifles to defeat the U.S. military. How ironic that Biden was already in Federal office before the Vietnam war ended. A war in which Vietnamese rice farmers defeated the mightiest military on earth, the U.S. military, with AK-47s.
What's the difference between an AK-47 and an AR-15? An AR-15 will hold true past 100 yards. In short, a civilian organization with small arms who are willing to die for their beliefs will defeat the best equipped army any day of the week if the nuclear option is not on the table.
someone else posted a tid bit if this weeks meeting...but here's my favorite part... .
so...deuteronomy...jehovah cares for the poor...those with no inheritance get help...debts are forgiven...and then!.

I'll add this to my list of scriptures to remember. Someone else on this site brought up Galatians 1:6-9 which is now my go to scripture for disproving the Watchtower.
lloyd has a reminder set for a "leaked" video that he will be reviewing tomorrow, but it lacks details in the description.
does anyone know what video he is referring to, or is this an upcoming loyd evans exclusive?.
i find leaks exciting, especially if it's something that was never meant to be public and puts some serious egg on the faces of the blundering body..
A doctor was accused of malpractice, the jury didn't impose any penalty on the doctor even though he was guilty. The lawyer after the trial asked the jury WHY didn't they imposed any penalty on the guilty doctor?
The jury replied. BECAUSE THE DOCTOR WAS CUTE.
Mr. Splane - Please site the name the case is styles in (e.g. Jones v. Jones) and cause number? What's that? Can't seem to find it? Shocking! Perhaps it got stuck in one of those crocodile infested rivers your members cross to get to the meetings?
Seriously! How could anyone buy into this garbage?
The writing is on the wall!
my opinion is if possible fading is the best way to go..
I faded. I did not want to play by Watchtower rules. I owe them nothing.
I was an uber-dub from birth. I was appointed a Ministerial Servant at 19. I was given every "privilege" there was. I had parts on the Circuit Assembly programs and conducted a Book Study (when they had them). I faded and no one cared. It seemed my father was the only one who even reached out to me.
news is broadcasting that death valley is getting close to breaking a record.
the highest air temp recorded is 134 but that was in 1913 way before the huge spike in co2.
now its 130 and its the end of the world.
Not to sound like I wear aluminum foil hats, but has anyone come across any information on the high temperatures being as a result of the Earth being closer to the Sun do to a massive earthquake shifting the planet's orbit?
just wondering if there is an apostafest scheduled this year of 2021/.
I have wondered this too. It has been a while.
par 7. jws are proud of bring uneducated to the point of being anti education.. par 8. the boreans studied what they were told and verified it, unlike the forbidden research now.

What was in print - "If they do a proper “background check,” they will not allow prejudice or hearsay to blind them.”
What is enforced - "If they do a proper “background check (using only Watchtower materials),” they will not allow prejudice or hearsay to blind them.”
i found this interesting perspective on reddit.. post;.
i remember the moment the first real crack in my faith happened as a jehovah's witness.
i was sitting in the kingdom hall during the watchtower study where, as is common, the article was talking about how the israelites as a nation abandoned jehovah.. "but wait," i thought, "having a nation represent him here on earth was part of his plan.
I agree with the title. My first doubt came at a Circuit Assembly. During a talk "New Light" was referred to in regards to the Watchtower changing it's stance on alternative compulsory service some 25 years after the Vietnam conflict. Elder. On the platform of a Circuit Assembly. Reading from a Watchtower outline.
Yep - no apostates!
suppose we were naïve observers, given the following data, and asked to draw a conclusion.
we see people gather at a busy bus stop several times a day.
at first one person, then another, and another, until they form a group.
I suggest reading the book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman. It gets into how the brain functions. The brain is an organ. Like any other organ its job is to keep us alive.
Not all thoughts you have are generated by you. Emotions are ways the brain communicates to you. They are like alarms and defense mechanisms with anger be the quickest, simplest of them all. In fact, anger is rooted in fear.
That is why it is import to quiet the non-stop talking in our heads the brain generates as a means to force us to deal with potential future problems. If you don't anxiety will get the better of you.
I have also heard it said by another author that our brains are geared to believe that which we think is beneficial to us. Sort of like living forever...in a paradise...
