has anyone here on this forum had such an experience?

today is my 51st anniversary.
of going to prison.. i was 20 years old.
i stood before district judge leo brewster and made a plea of "guilty".
Terry:
You are not alone. I recall when the Watchtower changed its stance on alternative service to compulsory military service. I saw pure pain in the face of an elder when this was said from the platform at a Circuit Assembly back in 1993. I think that was my first experience in waking up.
I am proud of you none the less, Terry.
the life story in the latest wt has a running theme that keeps popping up: if the organization tells you to do something, you do it.
this culminates in the following anecdote:.
we were staying in abrother’s home right next to a kingdom hall.. .
The phrase "piss in my ear and tell me it's raining" comes to mind.
today, marking the second anniversary of the australian national apology to victims and survivors of institutional child sexual abuse, the prime minister of australia has announce in federal parliament the intention to place sanctions against the jehovah’s witnesses in relation to child sexual abuse.. quote from prime minister:.
the royal commission [into institutional response to child sexual abuse], the [national] apology [to victims and survivors of institutional child sexual abuse] and these yearly reports are about accountability: bringing the truth into the light ... we still have, reprehensibly, four institutions that have been named publicly and that have blatantly refused to join the redress scheme.
they are jehovah's witnesses ... it's not acceptable.
I see Australian national JWs being instructed to make their monthly donations directly to the Watchtower Corporation in the U.S. I am not up on Australian law, but it would seem that taking care of business expenses Down Under is going to be quite difficult for the Watchtower.
yeah, so this is a pretty good video regarding the up-coming us presidential election.. i'm no expert in us politics, so if this video is a load of crap, please say so .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2fo83cp7vg.
The a little over half of the U.S. total population lives in about 5 U.S. major metropolitan cities (e.g. Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, etc.). The Electoral College is essential.
I would go so far as to say the U.S. needs a form of Electoral College for electing U.S Senators.
do you think they feel bad for us!
envy us or basically don’t give a 💩?

Nitty Gritty:
You do have a point. As one psychologist says, "Pick your damn sacrifice." Freedom sometimes requires change and change always requires sacrifice. Some people prefer to the security of familiarity over freedom.
The problem comes in when the choice is not a choice. I was born to Witness parents. They did as the Watchtower tells them - raise your children to be Witnesses. So, at the age of 14 I was baptized. Not because I wanted to be baptized, but because I was steamrolled into it by my parents.
We see all too often children who stand firm in their desire not to be a Witness thrown out on the streets by the Witness parents. They do this out of fear of their status within the organization. This is a fact and it cannot be denied.
So, yes, I made a sacrifice. I sacrificed my relationship with my parents and siblings by following facts, documented historical evidence, archeologic evidence, geological evidence, logic and reason. I separated myself from my family by deciding not to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I knew my family would choose their obedience to the Governing Body over their familial ties to me.
The difference is that I accept them, even while they practice their faith while they reject me because of their obedience to a man-made organization that condemns former believers and openly pines for our death (see Anthony Morris III recent video). I respect anyone's beliefs and would never do anything to actively try to get them to change. Faith is a very personal thing. So, unless my family earnestly asked me to share with them why I no longer share their beliefs I will keep that to myself.
here is one of the many commandments jesus instructed his twelve apostles to keep, follow, and obey!.
here is anthony morris ( supposedly selected by jehovah to keep, follow and obey the sayings of jesus ) name-calling and condemning enemies!
the pharisees used to label people as well.
Rules & Regulations has it spot on. Jesus said that even the people of the nations love their brothers, but Christians are to love their enemies. Tony Morris should have said, "Love those who were once with us and pray they return before it is too late."
Also, if a person dedicates themselves to God, but choses not to practice the Witness religion, how does that make one an enemy of God? Unless of course you spell God W-A-T-C-H-T-O-W-E-R.

What do active Witnesses think of those who left? They don't. That is for one of two reasons -
1. That would require thinking of someone other than themselves. I always found Witnesses to be rather selfish people.
2. They don't because that would require thinking and thinking is discouraged by the Governing Body. The Governing Body will do all the thinking.
can anyone give difference between cross and pendant with jw.org logo?.
further this logo has become the main identification of a kingdom hall.. can someone give bible reasoning behind this?
against or favour..
Is the use of the JW.Org logo on items no different than wearing a crucifix? No.
Are Jehovah's Witnesses Olympic level, god medal winning mental gymnastic champions who can reason anything to their favor? Yes.
world wide association of liars.
organization of delusional sociopaths.
jehovah's publishing corporation .
Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Incorporated
That's my favorite name for them. They are and always have been a business. Their own name. They need to own it.
I would refuse to call them Jehovah's Witnesses. They are Publishers of the Watchtower Corporation.
