i'm sure many others noted in yesterday's news feeds, that scientists deciphering the dna of the skeleton remains of a man thought to have died some 10,000 years ago in the south of england, have presented him as:.

as blue-eyed (now that's quite english) but as dark skinned.

The book burning has started

don't know if this is a global thing but i've just been told by a pimo member of my old congregation that a min servant has been given the task of destroying all old books/literature in the kh library prior to 1992.. could be the elders (or even one of them) on a mission to stamp out dissent as my ex-wife used the same reasoning to her elder dad that i used in my jc: rutherfords books containing failed predictions.. anyone else heared anything?.

the ms who's been given the task is a company man.

no hope of him keeping them or selling them on ebay.. they have some russell books in that library too.

Kingdom Hall ... BURGER KING?

i live in a very rural part of the northeastern united states.

after 9 years of waiting, the local witnesses are getting their new kingdom hall.

it is being built on a back road next to a sandpit.

Nowadays it’s all about having a building which they can sell in a few years for a profit, keep the money, and have the brothers build another one with donated labor.

I don't know enough about makers to tell if 3500 is a lot or not. They have a really nice recording studio ( I hear), so I'm sure they have tome good instruments. However, every serious violinist has their own instrument.

I paid about 7000 for mine, and I' definitely an amateur

I am surprised that a school can receive any accreditation with its stated curriculum. Is there any public funding of this school?

The vague WTBTS Baptism question?

acts 2:38 is easy to understand and easy to follow.

there are no words that are vague and need interpretation.

“do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of jehovah’s witnesses in association with god’s spirit-directed organization?”.

A lot of us oldtimers never said ‘yes’ to that question. The two questions were changed about 30 years ago to tie it to the organization rather than to Jesus and God.

i wanted to see if anyone else had any experiences along these same lines.

i met most of the ones that were current during the 2001-2003 years.

jehovah himself gives the saying "the women telling the good news are a large army" psalms 68 : 11 coupled with the fact that a good portion of women partake of the emblems and wine at the annual memorial celebration.. identifying themselves as part of the 144000 that are taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens.. isn`t it about time they were recognized for their contributions and given the fact that gods word the bible clearly states that 144,000 of anointed are to be taken from the earth which many women are a large part of.?.

revelation ch.14 :4 could be argued that they are not lesbians { "these are the ones who do not defile themselves with women ,in fact they are virgins, etc,etc.}.

i wonder just how many men who claim to be of the anointed have not defiled themselves with women and are virgins.?.

I told my brother who is a elder that it was just a matter of time until there are wonen elders. He scoffed. The WT is so far behind the times concerning the equality of women that it is laughable.
