There were never any dull moments at my Hall.
I always found it exciting and mentally stimulating, in particular the 'Public Talk' prayers when the
brother droned on and on in a monotone "thank you Jehovah for the cells that hold our bodies together" etc.
Years and years of endless fun is what I personally enjoyed!

Bicycles.....need advice.

okay, i got a bike a couple days ago to ride to work.

problem is, work is 6 miles away.

wouldnt be a problem normally..but im living in a very very windy city.

DNA - belief destuction

the single largest reason to decimate my belief in jw?s and all biblical faith occurred when i discovered some facts about our cells.

specifically a part of the cell called mitochondria.

mitochondria are sometimes described as "cellular power plants" because their primary purpose is to manufacture adenosine triphosphate (atp), which is used as a source of energy that the cell uses.. as humans one inherits one?s mitochondria only from one's mother, this finding implies that all living humans have a female line of descent from a woman whom researchers have dubbed mitochondrial eve.

No matter what long drawn out arguments, circular reasonings, twisted logic and
outright deceptions bible bashers use the facts are that the Bible does not stand
up to any form of honest scientific scrutiny.
By scientific I mean following the established Scientific Method and not the fabrications
and psuedo science employed by Creationists and their ilk.

Going to my first meeting this morning

hi there i'm new here, my name is fiona i am not yet a jw and have not started to study yet.

i am very interested in doing so but since i am still new to all this i thought i should attend some meetings first.

i am going to my first one today at the kelvin hall in glasgow, i am quite nervous as i do not know what to expect but also excited at the same time since it could be the beginning of a huge change in my life.

Shortage of skilled labourers to work at Bethel??

my father, age 62, has been called to bethel to help do some work in his particular trade.

he went up yesterday and will be there until friday night, if, as my sister put it, "they let him go.

The Watchtower slave drivers don't give a tuppenny damn about who they &*ck up as long
as they get their projects done. All to the glory of Jehovah of course. Bollocks!
I've seen plenty of brother worn down to exhaustion by the demands of the useless
arsekissers at Bethel.
