Thank you fade_away-makes sense now. Very gracious of you both, it was rather rude of them to try to make you feel guilty.

I'd like to know why you were standing too. Do you normally stand while eating? Why didn't you join them at the table? It would make me uncomfortable to have people standing while I was sitting down to my food.

The people in my area always say 'Jehovah Witness'...very annoying. They also say ec-scape, instead of escape, and x-pecially instead of especially!

i am a regular pioneer in my cong reading crisis of conscience.here goes...
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

balthar447, I don't know what's on your wish list, but I wish you happiness and long life. As a virtual born in, I never had a birthday either. You are right, it does make a person seem insignificant.

JW Children in Meetings
by blue_summmer20 inhi my first post.. for the people that grew up in the religon, do you have any memory of being spanked for not sitting still in the meeting?
i see kids acting like kids but the parents take them out and spank them for something like not sitting still.
some of my worst memories are my father taking me out for a beating with a belt or his hand.

I got spanked on occasion at the meetings as a child. Once, while sitting on the floor at the KH, I tied my mother's shoe together. Another time, I rifled through her purse, took out her make-up and smeared it on the sweater of the sister in front of us.

Well, if I was knocked up and establishing a household, I would have really appreciated the 'cheapo' appliances, bowls, mixers, glassware. We realized we need items were not given because they are less glamourous, things like spatulas, pancake flipper, soup ladel, wire whisk, potato masher, can opener.just the stuff need to run a kitchen. I would never presume that my taste in art or crystal ,silverplate, or sterling. I had one sister give me a purely decorative item, it was pretty, but completely not my taste. It hid in the drawer for a while, then returned to the light, not long after, the toddler destroyed it...problem solved

WW3 could happen, but then again, it may not. It makes one wonder why Jehovah has waited until there are over 7 billion people on earth to do away with wicked mankind. Why not do away with them when WW2 was going on? It seems the time of WW2 would have been really critical, nuclear bombs invented, holocaust occuring in Europe perpetrated by the mad-man Hilter, Japan taking prisoners and working and torturing them to death, Japan being fire bombed by the USA, famines in Russia, the world at war. Concentration camps all over the war torn world...

Years ago, I was a bill collector. People would regularly hang up on me and/or curse me out...I got paid to be insulted and rudely treated. The thought of having people who are not interest and annoyed, that they are being bothered by people they have worked hard to ignore when they come to their door uninvited, swearing at me and hanging up, and me paying for it to happen, is untolerable!
