sin against the spirit?
by truthseeker1969 inso here is something that i have been thinking about.. witnesses are told not to run ahead of jehovah's chariot but to walk behind it waiting for truth to be dispensed.. the new generation thingy mabobber about this generation overlapping the other generation also known in the uk as 'the generation game and the constant trying to explain, is evidence to me that they ran ahead of the chariot.
if witnesses are thrown out for apostasy for attempting to or in some cases figuring out bible meaning then why has this not happened to the gb.. why is jehovah is a god of order, truth and power do they make a mockery of him by changing the neeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww lite.
is this not eidence that they ran ahead of the chariot?

I can't believe this
by truthseeker1969 inyou all know i was in the uk settling estate issues and that the elders 'wanted to chat with me".. well i left before they could have the meeting i arranged on my "free day".. they turned up at my mothers home and were livid that i had gone, but here is the kicker.. brother heavenly described me as a potential apostate for what i had done, which sent my brother over the edge and he demanded a retraction and apology which they quickly gave him.
he intends to speak with the co when he comes on the matter.. it gets better, elder ballbag actually said "apostates do more good for the congregation than they think.
they pull those who should not be part of the org and clean the congregation" .

Question for those who know
by truthseeker1969 inas you all know i am not the sharpest tool in the ice box, the old lady is!.
can anyone tell me if it is in the elders book that is says if an elder commits serious sin doesnt report it and is found out, but, has the respect of the congregation it is assumed it is forgiven?.
also, one comment i read states that elders were told to destroy certain files when the data protection act came out in britain, what were those files and does anyone know anything about it?.

unbelievable
by truthseeker1969 inwell here i am in the uk cold and windy but happy to see 'home' for a few weeks.. bought me and ipad to keep in touch.. was greeted by my family like i had never left all active witnesses and all aware i no longer believe, they have the blood thicker than water attitude.. my oldest sister tells me that the elders were 'asking about you' and that she accidentally said i would be visiting.. keep in mind that i left 17 years ago and they are still waiting to see how they can de-humiliate themselves for what they did and i guess they will never give up.
i sat there thinking, shepered the flock?
what is it about elders and getting even and revenge?

Update
by truthseeker1969 inas many of you are aware the elders visited my sister and asked her (a non witness) to ask me not to contact my mother (a dedicated believer).. lo and behold, they went were angels fear to tread and spoke with my mother who in turn asked them to show her from scripture where a baptized person who was disfellowshipped and had it reversed was a threat to anyone?.
as far as she was concerned they were 'sheperding" (i call it fishing) and asked where i lived as they would like to contact me, hmmm a flight to the us would be theraputic.
she denied there request for the information.. they told her they were looking out for her spiritual well being.

Is it just me?
by truthseeker1969 inthey stopped letting people do the bible reading and give a commentary of the reading incase the wrong thing is said.. elders must stick to the scriptures in the watchtower and not go outwith it.. nothing can be kept in writing by the congregation.
bible studies due for baptism are checked for a past history.
the society routinely destroys information on nearly everything.

Do not go beyond the things written
by truthseeker1969 inwhen considered the above gives the society carte blanche to make up what it wants when it comes comes to things unwritten.. when asked where in the scriptures judicial committees are mentioned and whether they are scriptural, the answer was: "since it is not written it is not going outwith the things written".
in other words regardless of right or wrong things can be made up if they are not specifically written in the scriptures.. however, your input is requested on the baptismal questions.
since it is written that we are baptized in the name of the f s hs then is the current baptismal question blasphemy?.

They are bothering my sister
by truthseeker1969 inmy youngest sister who has never been baptized and never shown an interest in the witnesses since her teen years was recently visited by a couple of elders.. they asked her what she thought about witnesses and how she viewed the congregation.
she basically told me that she told them she could care less what anyone believes or does but she refuses to believe that the gb are spirit directed or inspired and that the material she has been shown by my family is the same stuff since she was a child.
she did tell them that she sees the gb beating people and using lies more and more and referenced me who was df'd in absentia but then had it overturned.. they stayed for an hour and at the end asked her to tell me that i should still limit my contact with my mother since i am not attending meetings etc.. i thought it was strange until she told me the name of the elders, both on my jc and both still it seeems bitter!.

Keeping Records
by truthseeker1969 inok who can definitively answer how long the society keeps records before having to "chuck 'em out"?.
i know the law in europe makes it clear that they can not be kept any "longer than necessary", but gives no time frame to use.. any elders in the uk have a clue?
in the us they have no such law so i know they can hold on as long as they like, case in point.
