So usually, it is in a false god that they have lost their faith.
Oh look, you've found yet another way to feel superior to people that don't listen to invisible friends....
i have seen debates and shizzle about god or not god etc etc.. i was even confronted by an aggressive and trheatening muslim in the street, who was angry that i wanted proof that god existed.
he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.
finally he yelled at me: 'do you want god to write your name in the sky?

i hated peas.
my mom would say, "the kids in china are starving.
eat your peas.
We were incredibly poor. If you didn't want to be hungry, you ate your vegetables, the ones you helped plant, weed, pick, clean and can.
does anybody have any tips on keeping hard-wood floors clean?
seems like 10 minutes after i clean them they are a mess again.
at least with carpet it was harder to notice all the little doodads that wind up on the floor.
Shoot the damn cat.
washington -- a narrowly divided supreme court ruled monday that police can collect dna from people arrested but not yet convicted of serious crimes, a tool that more than half the states already use to help crack unsolved crimes.. this dna sample will of course go into a huge database similar to fingerprints.. .
I can't see the difference between this and fingerprints, it's part of determining who you are.
How so? If I am not in a DNA database, how will that tell them who I am?
Specifically in the case of swabbing, they are taking something from you. In the case of a crime scene, you are leaving things behind. In the case of freeing an innocent person, the person being freed is willingly giving their DNA.
OTOH, it is a powerful tool for catching criminals and for clearing people of suspicion. There is no easy answer.
i decided to ask this on the back of "lost"'s thread about yhvh etc.. quite often on here we get bible believers trying to tie the whole mess that is the bible together, and maintaining that it tells us about just one "true" god.. who is this "true" god, and what is the proof that he is true ?.
was he the god of abraham and melchizedech ?.
the god of the ordinary jew before the babylonian exile ?.
How does one tell the difference?

Some people just dismiss him as their own inner voice or conscience or thoughts, until they learn to recognize His voice.
Are you suggesting every inner voice is Christ?
just had our first crop of heirloom zuccini for dinner, 4, yum!.
we are growing most of our vegetables in large containers to keep critters and snails out.
i recycle pallets from my work into planter boxs.
No garden this year, just moved into a house and too much other things to do. The local farmers market sells veggies so cheap they are hardly worth planting on my own, I typically do herbs, peppers and tomatoes. With those things fresh, you can always make a meal out of something and turn it delicious.
though it was impossible to transport massive blocks when building these pyramids, would it not make more sense that blocks of clay were formed and shaped (one or more at a time), waited to dry and hardened, then continue with the next one or two blocks?.
wasn't this how the egyptians made anything?
(clay and so forth?).
Easier than what? The pyramids aren't built out of clay bricks.

Stonhenge? Easter Island? Goblekki Tepe?
i was at work one day at a seafood wholesaler (some years ago).
there was considerable tension in the air.. another worker briefly left the workplace.
he could simply have gone to the toilet or for a smoke.. without seeing where he'd gone, or what he was doing, or hearing what he was saying, i instinctively knew he had instead gone upstairs to see a particular manager.
Has anyone counted the misses against the hits?
