It is, of course, a lie. Just another to add to the house of cards they've constructed. This goes along with the slave "class." Basically they're saying "we don't give a shit about the rest of the "slave class". We make the rules & everyone else is going to follow in line or get their apostate ass kicked out of our little club. Those of you lurking or hanging in there for family, you have my deepest sympathy.

How Have you Counted your time for Pioneering?
by jehu or jehonadab injust woundering how have you counted your time in field service especially if you were pioneering?.
would like to see if any of you were on the same page as i was.
with so much to do, like reading all the watchtower and awake each month and the bible reading each week.

New career at 30 - suggestions/ideas?
by i_drank_the_wine ini'm in need of a career change, or at the very least a new job that i can make money at while i continue to work on computer related side-projects.
i'm burnt as hell at computer programming, and being that i am self-taught and have very little corporate experience i am not looking into doing this anymore as it's all i've done as a career for the last 10 years.. long story short, bad money crunch, no degree of any sort, a gamble to try and make my own business failed - so i need to find a new career or job.
searching the papers is somewhat dis-heartening so far.. any ideas, suggestions, or advice for this daunting task of trying to find some way to keep from going bankrupt with a new job.

I switched careers at 32. I had a high level management position but began hating every day I went to work. Got an offer in construction. Started at the bottom & worked my way back up. The difference is I love my job. Find something you have a passion for. With the skills I've learned. I've built my last two homes. Find something you're good at & go for it. I worked at Kodak when I was 19. Made good money. Hated the job. Went into human resources to give my two week notice. The old man I talked to said " Son, I want you to reconsider leaving Kodak. When you get older, you'll regret leaving." I looked at him & said " When I get older, I'll regret many things, leaving this place won't be one of them." Good Luck.

Went to one this year. The elder had the balls to hold out "everlasting life" for the faithful. Evidently the deceased, as well as "millions now living" missed the boat. Total cold hearted sales pitch.

Taking Back the Holidays

this will be an interesting holiday season for me.
when i became one of jehovah's witnesses, i gave them all up of course.

Update on our dount shop

yesterday i past all of my rough-in electrical and plumbing inspections all my drywall will be up today and tape and muded.
