Could it be many are healing from the wounds of being a JW and are moving on? Or has people lives not changed one bit since they left the WT cult and all the talking just does not help them? When I first came on this site I was a scared bitter soon to be Ex JW. What I thought the function of this site was at that time was to help me express my views so I could work out my emotional needs helping me getting out of the cult. That's why I was here and I am sure everybody else came here for the same or diffrent reasons. Compare to you guys I am still the new guy on the block. And I have seen many changes on this board. Some good others bad. Sspo is most likely right on what he said. For myself when I post I don't go very deep into what I think or feel. I try to keep it light. Except when I really have a tryng situation taking place in my life. I for myself don't like in your face debate. I guess it is because of all the years of going door to door. So sometimes I shy away from it. Slimboyfat I don't ever remember the time I been on were a post got 10,000 replys. That must of been something. In the last serveral months there have been many new ones coming on. And I know how they feel coming onto this board for the first time. They are just testing the water now. Hopefully as time passes they will be more assertive on this fourm. Anyway thanks Simon for letting me come on here and thanks to everyone else for listening to my bull crap. LOL Totally ADD

Here in the wilds of PA in the last two years we have lived here only once did they come and that was last year when we was at work. They left a invitation to the DC in our door. I am not sure but I think our house borders 3 diffrent territorys by 3 diffrent congregations. So we get overlooked. It's great. About 2 months ago a car drove up our driveway and two people got out of the car. They were all dressed up we thought they were JW. It turned out they were insurance salesmen. Still no sell. But we laugh after they left all hop up on what we was going to say if they was JW. Totally ADD

Time for this Newbie to say - Hello everyone!
by SeventhSojourn inin just the several months i've been lurking here, i have benefited from many of the posters comments and viewpoints.
this is truly a special place for the unique community that has been created here.. after years of holding off my exit from the org (that may be another post) i recently became officially out (by letter of da), but it was a very difficult process as many of you know.
thankfully, i now have my wife (was also a witness) onboard and we support each other.

Welcome Seventh Sojourn. Hey flipper that was my question. Anyway it is so good to have you on board. It's always great when both husband and wife leave at the same time. My wife "Reopened Mind" and I both left the same time. Keep reading, Keep listening to others on this board and work hard at learning to be what makes you, you!!!! There will be days of self doubt and there will be days of happiness. All the emotions will come in play for sometime to come but it is all will worth it. Mind control from the WT cult is a hard thing to forget. But as time goes on it will get better and better. Looking forward to your future comments on this board. Good Luck to both of you. If Jesus came on the earth today he would be put to death like the bible said it happen. I think the WT would take the lead in it. Only TV show Jesus would be on would be the nightly news. Totally ADD

I agree with many that some would kill themselves others would be happy the nightmare is over and there would be those that would start their own WT like church. These would be the ones who are the most dangerous. Because for the first time those who are the head of it would have control over others. Control like they never had before. I forsee many Rev. Jones/David Koresh type groups. Nuttier than the WT could ever be. This is what cults spawn. Some groups wrose than the others but all looking for control. Totally ADD

7 graphs that prove America is overrated
by Simon inbefore the usual suspects start reaching for the pich-forks and forming a mob, i invite you to actually read and consider this, not just leap to conclusions.. http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/americas/united-states/130607/7-graphs-america-overrated-nsa-prism-privacy.
why do i care?
it seems the people being screwed the most are also the most visciferous defenders of the status quo which sees them being severely disadvantaged.. maternity leave?

Look out everybody the multi-corporations of the world is working hard to destory the U.S. Most of the poltictians are in their back pocket. We need to fight back or all of us will loose. It is just not the U.S. but most of the developed countries are at big risk of these multi-corporations crooks. Who care less about anybody but the bottom line and their share holders. In many ways they are getting away with murder. So yes Simon is right the U.S. is overrated but also are many other developed countries. The WT was wrong on this subject. It's now the UN we need to worrying about it's Big Business and their idea of one world goverment run by them. That's my lunatic thinking for the day. Totally ADD

Do Jehovah's Witnesses REALLY believe that their worldly friends, relatives and small children will be slain in the street by god?
by jambon1 ini mean, it's so utterly ****ed up, it's unbelievable.. just think about the nitty gritty of it:.
people that they love & care for who don't share their religion deserve to be killed, left without a grave & eaten by wild animals.
one day, this will happen & they'll be surrounded by billion upon billion of decaying, rotting corpses.

The newer generation of JW may have a big disconnect on this subject. The old timers my dad's generation loved talking about everybody being killed at armageddon. They would get all excited and laugh at how they would die. My generation may have wanted armageddon but would not think about all the dead bodies or get excited about it. But todays JW I think have a hard time dealing with all the people being killed at armageddon. This concept of killing everybody but JW comes from a generation that saw alot of death and hardship from 2 world wars and great depression. We don't see that today. Yes we still have wars and gun shootings but not on the scale the old generation saw. This thinking may be soften even more as time goes on. The hold of being killed at armageddon does not control JW like it used to be. Much like hell fire does not control those in other churches. Totally ADD
